I was diagnosed with Plantar fasciitis.  A friend with the same problem suggested to buy orthodics and I went into the Good Feet Store in Brookline on Aug. 20, 2009.  Rosalyn Finn, the manager, after learning about my problem said repeatedly: "I am going to get rid of your pain".  As she was fitting me in for my size she continued to assure me that these orthodics "always worked" in her experience of years selling them.  She recommended that I would buy 3 kinds of orthodics in order for her to "get rid of my pain".

A week later and $867.85 less in my pocket I came back with the same pain.  Rosalyn Finn fitted me again with a new pair.  "Now it will work.  I told you I will get rid of your pain" - she said again.  In 3 weeks later -- there was no change in my condition.

I demanded my money back but was offered a store credit.  "Someone from the corporate office will call you" -- said Rosalyn.

A week later Gina Notarangelo, a regional mgr. called. She offered to meet with me herself to refit me for another pair.  I complained about Rosalyn who was making verbal guarantees despite the company's policy "not to clam any improvements in.....pain level".  When I said that I would take them to court if I don't get my money back, Gina said that I wouldn't win because it is my word against theirs, and that she'd been there before.

I agreed on meeting with her on October 20th at the Brookline store.  Gina never kept an appointment.  I have nothing left but to contact my atty.

If anyone had the same experience shoot me an e-mail at (((email redacted))).

Let's teach them the lesson together.

There are no guarantees in life. Ary is blowing smoke.

Ary, Let me teach you a few lesson & hopefully together others will learn something true instead the flawed thinking that you portray in your expos! First off its called an Orthotics not what you wrote an orthodics.  If you dont know what it actually is what makes you think you know anything about it, dic?

The number one treatment for plantar fasciitis is a good orthotic & if the manager said (& I doubt it) that this device would fix your pain she wasnt far off. What are you kidding, Ary you thought your plantar fasciitis was going to go away in one week or even three weeks!!! Knowing that you know practically nothing of this product how in the world did you come up with that assumption?! In my case it took months to completely relieve all of my plantar fasciitis pain. If it worked me I know you never gave it a chance to work for you. It is typical that it may take a while to be pain free, it all depends on how long you had the condition, the degree, which orthotic youre using, how long you are wearing it, and what kinds of shoes youre wear, etcetera.

Your attempt at intimidation & threats were pretty empty & lame so I dont blame the manager if she said what she did.  Everyone knows that your attorney would never guarantee that you actually had a case against Good Feet & would win; Good Feet cant make any kind of guarantees either.

Let me get this straight because you have buyers remorse you feel that you have entitlement to actually demand money back for the three orthotics & cushions which are personal items from a store that has a no return policy? So this store bends their store policy because you whine, cry a lot, & stamp your feet & after Good Feet is gracious enough to give you a refund, that you dont deserve, you stab them in the back!!!

Id say with confidence that you ripped yourself off Ary by not giving the ORTHOTICS a chance. They do work, they work for me. I think you ought to man up with an apology & tell this store thanks & go back & get another pair. (orthotics not orthodics) dic.

AUTHOR: Good Feet - (United States of America)

As the Corporate Manager of The Good Feet Stores in Eastern Massachusetts it is my responsibility to ensure all of our customers are given excellent customer service and are given all the information they need to make the most intelligent decision possible regarding their purchase of Arch Supports.  Because I take my job seriously it is bothersome to me when I cant please a customer no matter what lengths I go to try.  The above complaint written by Ary from Brookline was one of those times.

The day I found out about his dissatisfaction with our products I called him and left a message on his voicemail.  Within a day or two he called me back and left a message on my voice mail and this proceeded for a few days until I was able to talk to him directly.  The first conversation I had with Ary I told him if he was dissatisfied with our products there was probably a logical explanation and a solution if he wanted to work with me I would love to work with him.  I also told him that I would refund his money if the supports did not work for him.  Unfortunately I came down with the swine flu the day of our appointment and had my assistant call him to reschedule and gave him ample notice.  He told my assistant he didnt care if I was sick and he wanted his money back.  A week later (my first day back to work) I called Ary, but I didnt receive a return call from him.   The following day he was issued a credit for the full amount and the receipt mailed to him with our apologies. I followed up with a phone call and left a message on his voicemail informing him of what had transpired. A week later he wrote the disparaging remarks about us on this site.

For the record The Good Feet Stores cant make promises to our customers, but we can relay the positive experiences that other Good Feet customers have had from wearing our supports.  I work at Good Feet because I love seeing the difference our products make in many, many peoples lives.
