The Greatest Deals on Wheels are the biggest scam in Northern N.J. I recently purchased a 1989 Mitsubishi Galant from them.

They gave us a price of 2,995.00 on the lot. They convinced us that the car was worth the price and that nothing was wrong with the car at all. They told us that any repairs that were needed to be done will be done and that they had their own garage with their own machanics. "Anything that needs to be repaired will be repaired 100%" they said.

Well, after giving them a thousand dollars cash down payment, they included these ridiculus fees that somehow added up to 600+ dollars.(on an 89 Gallant! Give me break) We paid for an alarm that had to be removed because it kept going off for no reason. They charged us for an ON-TIME payment alarm that if we missed a payment the car would not start. This is for their benefit. Why should we pay 250.00 for this. Anyway, after we brought the car home we took it to Midas and then to a personal mechanic that we know.

Well, much to our surprise the car needed a list of repairs.

They told us that the only thing they did was changed the break pads and they even did this wrong. The pads were installed incorrectly. Also, the engine valve cover was leaking oil, the struts and shocks were shot, the roders needed to be redone, it needed a wheel alignment, wheel balance. The right headlight blew out, and it idled too low, the oil was extremly black (how much does an oil change cost) and it needed a thermostat. No heat at all in the car.

What shocked us even more was that after we bought the car we saw it advertised on the internet on their web site(same car) for 1,495.00 as is. Well it seems to me that they sold us the car 'AS IS' That means that we got ripped off 1,500.00!! (The car is still advertised for that price on the site. check it out)

It gets better. They gave us a temporary registration for 20 days and promised us that they will have plates and registration for us way before it expires. Well after countless phone calls they finally called us on the the day before it expired. We asked them to overnight us the plates because we would not be able to drive the car and they refused saying that we had to send them 63 dollars to pay for the plates.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! You just ripped us off 1,500.00 and your crying for 63.00 fricken dollars. I learned my lesson and I hope this gets out to whoever thinks about buying a car here. They are dishonest, greedy and extremly rude on the phone. Good luck if you decide to buy a car here. The Greatest Steal on Wheels.
