Grand Carved Bookcase Unit Ornate Style 2 Sizes  from our Shabby Le Chic Collection

These pieces are solid wood, and are made from reclaimed Pine for a distinct look of antique furniture. These pieces were inspected prior to dropping off in WA State and reinforced with cardboard edging and shrink wrap. The company that picked up re-enforced with more packaging with bubble and cardboard and put the shipment on pallets.  Pictures attached. Most of this packaging was removed at the delivery agent prior to delivering to the customer.  Pictures attached.

The bookcase was not shipped on the line haul to the client with just shrink wrap. Pictures were sent to the customer showing how items were sufficiently packaged, but they continue to accuse us and slander us online for insufficient packaging and inferior products which we feel is very wrong and certainly not the case. This customer also slandered us in long online forums calling us liars, used rude texts messages to slander our company, and accuse us of things that were not true, etc because His shipment was 2 weeks late. Our invoices and policies state that shipping delays can happen and our customers understand and sign that shipping delays are out of our control.  Mallery Hall uses movers who move slower in an attempt to avoid damages and this is at a higher expense for our customer’s protection. Our POD (proof of delivery)  states that pieces were put into place and the debris removed as is white glove service.

As mentioned this piece is part of our Shabby Le Chic Collection and constructed from reclaimed wood to resemble “Antique Furniture Pieces” There will be imperfections and some movement in the wood as is acclimatizes.  The construction methods are somewhat rudimentary but these pieces will last forever.  The damages were immediately repaired even before our claims were paid in an attempt to satisfy this customer.

Our policies are very clear that we cannot allow returns due to the size and custom nature of our orders. This was agreed by our client with signatures received agreeing to this policy.  Our policies also state and recommend that customers preview our wood samples, and this was offered to our client, but this client declined this offer prior to ordering. We are sorry that this customer has “buyer’s remorse”, as they mentioned they wanted a more contemporary piece that was NOT shabby in nature.
