THE MEADOWS GAIL YAW GAIL YAW, DIRECTOR OF WORKSHOPS, AN INCOMPETENT, EVIL COUNSELOR WICKENBURG, Arizona

I attended the Meadows recently and above all, it was a good experience. However, the Director of Workshops, Gail Yaw, showed herself to be incompetent, impatient and downright inconsiderate. Clients who attend workshops pay a good sum to work on their personal issues.  When I wanted to speak with her about how I was placed into the wrong workshop, Gail showed no empathy, sympathy or understanding, but merely sat back with a detached look as if her job was over just because the workshop was over. I explained that the workshop counselor made a mistake in recommending prescription medication because that would cover up the true pain--which is what coming to the Meadows was all about, to work on that root pain and deal with the issues. I did not come to the Meadows to be told to take medication when I knew there were actual past events and issues that affected who I became in the present. So, firstly, the workshop counselor, who mostly did a good job, erred in suggesting medicine to me. It showed her laziness in not wanting to help me fix the underlying issues. Secondly, the workshop director's attitude to my complaint was one of defense of the program and then Gail decides to end the conversation by requesting for me to leave. When I said that I was not finished with the conversation, she then threatened to call the cops. So I left the building and then Gail follows me out and stops me, asking me where I am going. I tell Gail that I am returning to the intake office to complain to them about her incompetence. So I returned to the intake office and filled out a form clearly stating what happened with the workshop counselor and how Gail had threatened a paying customer with police force. This kind of behavior by trained therapists is unacceptable and abusive. Because of this abuse, I want everyone to know that Gail Yaw at The Meadows is an incompetent, abusive and evil person who does not belong there. The Meadows is a wonderful place to recover and heal, but because of this horrible experience with Gail Yaw, it turned sour. GAIL YAW MUST BE FIRED!! I also told intake department that I would not come back to The Meadows because of Gail's abuse and that I would pay more to be taken care of elsewhere rather than come back to The Meadows because of Gail's misbehavior. Too bad for the Meadows, I wanted to come back as an inpatient for 3 months to a year, but since this incident with Gail Yaw occurred, The Meadows will lose out on $47,000.00 and more.
