Rented the Queen Maria 44 passenger limo/bus for a senior prom.

The limo/bus was due to arrive at 6pm. The limo/bus arrived at 6:50pm. They kept 44 kids and their families standing in 85 degree heat waiting for them to arrive.

The exterior of the limo/bus was dented or scraped on just about every side and corner.  Not the beautiful bus in their pictures!

When I got in the limo/bus to pay the last payment I noticed that it was hot and asked about the temperature. The driver said that the air conditioning was not working but that they were able to get 2 out of 4 of them running.

The kids loaded on very quickly because their prom started at 7pm. My son called me on the way to say that it was extremely hot on the bus and the AC in the back was blowing hot air. He also said that the TV wouldn't work.

I called and talked to DeeDee the dispatcher about the situation. She called the driver and he stated that the limo was nice and cool, that 3 air conditioners were running and that the TV was on and that the kids were fine. (Basically, he LIED!) She said that since she wasn't there, she couldn't tell what was happening but she assured me that if the air conditioning wasn't working and they were late, that I was entitled to a refund.

The bus was to return to take the parents out for a little while so I said that I would check the AC when I got on the bus. She told me to call her back. The kids didn't arrive at their prom until 8:05pm which I don't understand because the hotel is only about 25 minutes away. So these kids who spent $65 a ticket for the prom missed over an hour of it. They also arrived sweaty. Ugh.

The limo returned to pick up the parents around 9pm. (we had assumed it would be more like 7:30pm based on the original times.) I told the driver what DeeDee told me he had said and he said that he hadn't walked to the back of the limo until after the kids got off and now he saw what we were talking about. He assured us that the company would compensate us for the issues.

He also said that the TVs work but you have to have a DVD or video to play. We didn't have one and neither did the kids so I am not sure if the TV worked or not. They advertise Satellite TV but they don't have it. Apparently, the water tank had not been filled either because you had to pour water in the toilet to be able to flush it and it was dirty.

I tried to reach DeeDee but could not get an answer. When I pressed the button for "dispatch" I got a voice mail for a gentleman in accounting so I never got to update DeeDee on the situation. The parents went on the bus for a little over an hour and I can tell you that the back half of the limo was extremely hot. The air conditioner was blowing hot air. If I had to guess, I would say between 85 and 90 degrees even that late at night. When the parents got on the bus, we had to ask for a trash bag to clean up the water bottles etc. left by the kids so that we could sit down. I assumed that was the reason for the hostess. Sound system also sounded like it had cracked speakers.  

When the bus went back to pick up the kids, the bus was still so hot that the kids did not want to ride around so they returned to their cars and went home. In all, we used the bus for about 5 hours of the 8 hours that we had paid almost $3000 for and during that time the AC was not working for half of the bus/limo.

I have a lot of angry parents and kids hoping that this company will compensate them for these issues in the form of a refund for some of what they paid. Not to mention that these kid's prom night was less than the dream that they envisioned because of this after spending a fortune on dresses, tuxes, hair salons, flowers, and prom tickets etc.

I called and talked to Stacey who required that the issues be documented in an email. I sent 2 emails and called back everyday for a week. When I ask to talk to Stacey (who I have been told is the only person who can fix this), they ask who it is and immediately say she isn't there. After reading the other complaints, I am beginning to believe that she will not be doing anything to compensate for ruining these kid's prom night.

Their web site says "The Party Ride is renowned for providing our passengers the most comfortable, luxurious and stylish party buses, limo buses, limousine buses and coach buses all at affordable rates. This is the end result. Our limousine service and party bus is to provide our luxury fleet of party buses on-time, in working condition and impeccably clean all of which is done with the highest of work standards."

We didn't get "on-time, in working condition OR impeccably clean". AWFUL customer service! Please don't waste your money on this company and take the chance of ruining your event!!
