The Post Club Dating club ripoff Newton Massachusetts

The Post Club is the biggest dating ripoff I've ever experienced. I was charged $1,895 for a "VIP" membership after meeting with one of the contact people in Newton, MA and what they had to offer (or didn't have to offer) was completely misrepresented.

First of all they talk about how they are the "premier" dating club in Boston but after joining I realized that they only had about 100 members to choose from and of those members less than a dozen were in my age range. I'm in my mid 30's and most members seemed to be in the 45 to 55 year old age range. The representative should have told me that they didn't have much in my age range and I should have been informed of how many members they had. Also, being a minority there were barely any minorities to choose from nevermind anyone in my age range.

Another thing they do not make clear is that in order to view the profiles of their members, you have to drive to their location in Newton, MA and look through their profile books! I live about half an hour from there and it makes no sense that they don't post their profiles online. When I asked a representative about this, they said they do it that way to differentiate themselves from other dating sites which doesn't even make sense. I guess they differentiate themselves by inconveniencing their members.

I have yet to go on one date because of the lack of members and members in my age group and I've come to realize that with all their marketing ads that they're nothing more than a scam. You can easily get way more to choose from from a service like match.com for only about $30 a month. The cheapest membership the Post Club has is about $1,000 and that membership gives you next to nothing.

I have spoken with the director about getting a refund and I basically got "we don't give refunds" which is pretty much what I expected from such an unscrupulous operation such as this. I will be filling a complaint with the BBB bureau as well as use other methods and will post my results as I pursue a refund from this scam operation.
