The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Troy Stevens during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards Government Tax Lien Network.

Government Tax Lien Network is an educational company that provides national seminars across the nation to individuals looking to enter or further a career in real estate. These courses cover a multitude of aspects of the real estate field, and are taught by highly trained and experienced specialists. Troy Stevens, CFO of Government Tax Lien Network stated the following about his company, "we have an A to Z style. We do everything from tax liens, to house flipping, to hard money lending, and everything in between."

Leads for Government Tax Lien Network are compiled through internal marketing that primarily consists of direct mail or radio advertising. A potential client can attend a free 90 minute seminar that includes lunch, free gifts, and additional information about their advanced courses. If the client decides to proceed they can attend a three day seminar for $595 that also includes a lifetime membership to their tax lien expert website. Mr. Stevens explained, "from there we sell advanced training classes."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – GOVERNMENT TAX LIEN NETWORK

During the onsite interview Mr. Stevens was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. He explained that their biggest complaint is from people to attend the free 90 minute seminar and feel like they can't afford additional training. In order to remedy this, "we have additional training sources that are less expensive." Additionally, if there is a complaint from someone who attended a paid seminar and is dissatisfied Government Tax Lien Network will refund their money.

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Stevens expressed that the statements were made by an individual who could not afford the $595 three day seminar. He further stated, "we're an educational company there is all levels of education." Government Tan Lien is wants to help individuals attain knowledge, and will showcase their various means of doing so. We additionally stated that following about his teachers and product, "our instructors have years of experience. Tax liens themselves are government backed, so the government guarantee's the rate of return on those."

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to make things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Stevens stated, " we’ve really beefed up our customer service. We’ve extended our customer service hours. We’ve really worked with the presentation itself."

I received an invitation in the mail to come out to a Tax Lien Real Estate seminar in West Hyattsville, MD and learn more about tax liens. The seminar lasted about 2 hours. The host talked about a particular software which would give us access to a tax lien database throughout the country. The cost associated with this access was a one time fee of $597. We were told at that we had to attend a 3-day workshop in Gaithersburg, MD (July 8-10th, 2016) in order to learn more on the tax lien process and how to operate the software. I thought it was a good deal and signed up for it & paid $597. During the 3-day workshop we were being taught by Jessie Conners (from the Apprentice Season 1) on how to rehab houses and wholesales, etc.

We were not being taught on tax liens, how to use the database or anything like that. Ms. Conners (at the end of the seminar) then tries to sell us a Diamond Member package at $40,000. Why would we spend more money when we haven't even received the username & password. We were also told by Jessie Conners that we would get our username and password via email on Monday, July 11, 2016. I waited Monday and searched my email the entire day but to no avail...there was no email from REW (Real Estate Workshop). I spoke to Breanna M at 877-901-1167 on Monday, July 11th and asked for a refund. I explained everything to her that was stated above.

She told me to send a certified letter of cancellation in the mail and look out for an email that I would need to sign and send back to her. I did everything she told me to do. Breanna M. received the letter on Monday, July 18, 2016 and called me and told me that she was not going to be able to refund me my money. She said it was because I attended the workshop. I told her that on Monday, I had already explained everything to her that I attended the workshop. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said that there is nothing that he would be able to do either. This is a SCAM business. I want nothing more to do with this business but to have my money back. $597.00

They refunded my money!

I finally received my refund in the amount of $597.00 on August 5, 2016 after I got my lawyer involved.
