The Supply Connection ripoff fraud business supplies Gulfport Mississippi

I work for a non profit agency that provides services to developmentally disabled adults in our community. We have a very small budget and watch it closely.

One day I received a phone call from a representative of The Supply Connection. She used my CFO's name and said that she refrred the rep to me. She claimed they were a local company and that they were closing and moving to another state, and liquidating their inventory. She mentioned office supplies that we use but said they only sold them in grosses. She also knew that our supply room was very small and that it was limited on space(how she knew this I still dont know) and that she would only sell me small grosses, like 1/2 gross or 1 gross. We went through her list and I ordered a few things.

My big mistake was in not getting a quote. She did say that she would fax me a quote and she already had all of my company information. I never got the quote. The merchandise arrived roughtly 2 weeks later. I was expecting an invoice for around $600 and when the invoice came, a month later, it was for $7600 !!!

When I call the only contact number I can find I get a voice mail to leave a message and so far I have not heard back from them.

After reading what I have on this website about this company Im not holding out any hope that they will pay for the return shipping. On my last voice mail I did inform them that they would shortly be receiving the boxes back. I feel so embarassed to have fallen for this scam that Im going to pay for the return shipping out of my own pocket.

My adivce for future reference is, DO NOT order over the phone. If someone calls wanting to sell you something, ask them to fax you the information first WITH prices, no matter how much information they have on your company. These people are very slick and I would love to know where they get all their information.

BEWARE The Supply Connection.....bad bad business.
