The Ticket Clinic Failed To Live Up To Advertisements and Expectations Studio City, California

I received a red-light camera - failure to stop at a red light ticket a few months ago. After doing some research and reading about the 90% success rate of The Ticket Clinic, and after speaking to a paralegal (secretary maybe) who said that they are very successful in defending these types of tickets, I decided to pay the $200 upfront for their services.

After they received their payment, I never was contacted by any lawyer personally; and the only received two letters by mail - the first telling me that my court date had been pushed back (understandable), and the second that I was found guilty and was liable for court costs. The letter explained that they had 'convinced the court' to withhold points in exchange for my attending a traffic school - which was an option available on the earlier ticket!!

So the result? I paid them $200, and in return, I have to pay the original amount of the ticket, plus extra for traffic school -- the original ticket and traffic school and court costs would have cost me $509 , and upon the unsuccessful representation of my ticket -- I have to pay that much in court costs alone.

I never learned of the name of my lawyer, or the reason I was found guilty - the only correspondence I received  were an e-mail confirmation of my payment (thanks for the money idiot), and two boiler letters thanking me for choosing The Ticket Clinic, the last one stating "We appreciate your patronage."

If you have a red-light camera ticket I would advise just paying the fine and and going to traffic school if possible, you will save yourself months of uncertainty as well as having to pay The Ticket Clinic $200 for doing nothing...

Overall I am very dissatisfied with my experience and can not honestly recommend their services to anyone in the future. I feel that their advertisements of 90% success and their assurances over the phone create an unrealistic expectation of success -- without which I would have just paid the ticket and moved on with life.
