Thedigitalnerds.com - SCOTT ripof Bait & Switch False and Misleading advertising Internet

I am reporting nearly an identical M.O. as a previous poster...I made the purchase and received a phone call from a man calling himself SCOTT who referred to my order made over the internet at Digitalnerds.com.

I purchased a Canon A710 on line from The Digital Nerds. I received a call from Digital stating that they were actually The Digital Nerds. The person on the line tried to sell me an overpriced memory card. When I refused, he then tried to pressure me into buying rechargeable batteries at a high price. Again I refused. He became more insistent that I buy something else.

I informed him that I only wanted the camera and nothing else. He then informed me that I was buying a refurbished camera. I told him that I looked very closely at the site and it indicated nothing about being refurbished and neither did the confirmation of purchase sent to me via email indicate by code or otherwise that the camera was anything but a new boxed camera. He insisted that it was indicated at the site and started to become agitated.

I then told him to cancel the order since it was obvious this was not a reputable company I was dealing with and did not want a hassle. He started to become abusive and I hung up on him. I got an email within minutes that they were canceling the order.

I have given up trying to purchase this from internet sites onlineanother site wanted me to call to confirm the order after making the purchaseseemed like a similar M.O. I canceled the order on the spot.
