Iam extremely upset due to the bad customer service that I received from Dr. Schneider's Dentist office. Iam appauled by the way they handled canceling me and my children as patients.

I feel they are very unprofessional and are not worthy to be in the Dentistry business. I had a unexpected emergency come up on that day that I was scheduled to have my filling. I called in to his office and told them that I would have to reschedule and she said okay we will call you back. Well, after waiting a week I decided to call back to schedule a appointment. She first said
to hold on and then she left me on hold for about 8 minutes and then came back to say that Dr. Schneider has stated that he can no longer see you. We will mail your xrays in the mail today.

That's all she stated. I felt so bad, I mean I didn't know what to say. I've never felt so badly treated in my life. I want everyone to know that this Dentist office has the worst case of Bad customer service in the whole city of Jacksonville.

Editor, Your analogy is totally wrong

AUTHOR: Amaretto - (U.S.A.)

I am not kidding. Do patients get reimbursed for the time they spent waiting at the dentist's office. No, they don't. Do we get anything in return for waiting for any reason. (Christmas time; mail takes longer to get to us, restaurant is full, have reservation and we still have to wait.) Your analogy is totally wrong. We wait all the time, doesn't mean we have to get paid if we do.

The doctor on the other hand have a schedule to keep, if a patient doesn't keep their appointment, they lose money, they're rather have quality patients that shows up on time than having patient who cancels the last minute.

I am answering the question on why she probably got dumped as a patient, if you don't like the reason, it's not my fault. Blame the game instead of trying to give analogy that don't make sense. Expecting to get paid cause they've waited in the waiting room? YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT?

Customer service? This is a Dental office, your a patient, not a customer, and don't you know that dental offices have schedules? And that if patient cancels without adequate notice (at least 24 hours) the time alloted to the patient who cancelled get's wasted. Meaning, the doctor have no patient and time is wasted. It only means that the office who discharged you or would no longer accepts you thinks of you as a problem patient and thus don't want you in their office. So patients like you are oftentimes dumped because it's in your character not to show up for your appointment due to some emergency. (like, it's raining and I don't have an umbrella)

Do you have a history of cancelling appointments at the last minute or being a no-show? If so, it is a very common practice for medical and dental practitioners (particularly solo practitioners) to give patient notice that he/she will no longer be seen. However, the dentist should have sent you a certified letter stating this BEFORE you called to make an appointment.
