Situation in a nutshell: TheSeats.com took charged our credit card, lied about doing it and didn't even give us tickets for the right event!

On TheSeats.com website, customers must enter billing information before completing their order (red flag!). When I clicked to complete the order, a red "Error" box appeared along with a message that the tickets I was purchasing were no longer available. I then called theseats.com to be sure that, since I had entered my billing information, I would not be charged for the tickets. The "customer service" representative asked for my last name, said she was looking up something and told me that there was no record of any purchase made with my last name in the past month. I took her at her word and assumed the transaction did not happen and was over. I then purchased tickets elsewhere for this event.

At 10:00 p.m. when I checked my email, I had a "Ticket Order Information" email from theseats.com stating that I had purchased 4 tickets at $140.00 each plus an "obtaining cost" at $21.00 each plus a $15.00 shipping charge. The total listed was $659.00.

I called theseats.com to tell them that I was told that I did not purchase the tickets and they simply said, "We've had several problems with that this evening. You can call the broker."

I tried to call the broker and their office was closed. I then called theseats.com again to try to speak with someone that could take care of the problem. Unfortunately, I spoke with Amber, a manager, whose idea of customer service is to accuse customers of lying and hang up on them.

I then asked my husband to look at the email. He noticed then that the event information on the email confirmation did not match the event information the website showed when we made the purchase.

My husband then called theseats.com to discuss both problems: the initial problem of being told our credit card was not charged and the secondary problem of the tickets not even being for the event we were led to believe we were purchasing for. Amber screamed at my husband and, after he asked her to speak to him respectfully as he was to her, she told my husband that theseats.com was not interested in doing anything to rectify the situation.
