THEVIPCARD or getyourvip.com. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO AN INTERVIEW OR WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IT IS A BIG SCAM.

I went to an interview in my city of Austin Texas on Thursday Sep 10 2009. The company said they were expanding and had a great employment opportunity. The site started as getyourvip but then changed to thevipcard.com.I was interviewed by a guy named Kevin. He was probably the owner and tried to explain their scam to me. They tell schools that they are working with certain business that offer a discount (regardless if they have a signed document or not.)
They Fraudulently LYE- What type of company is this?

Then they do the same thing to the business owners as well. They tell them that they have all these schools on board when they do not. All of this is just bad business.

The worst part of the interview was that they went on to explain how they get all these kids to sell a membership that will not work. I take that back. They said at some places it will work and others it will not. They said by that time the fundraiser is complete and they already got paid.

What a crummy company. But yes you can make allot of money being a dishonest person. I hope you all go to jail. This is stealing from people and is dishonest. I will await a response

I Hope this helps everyone know more about this company.

I did some other research for the community and found out that the following people are also tied to this company:

adam.lee@getyourvip.com
kevin.mcelT.Dykstra@getyourvip.com
roy@thevipcard.com
tom.stamm@getyourvip.com
T.Dykstra@GetYourVip.com

Thanks,
Duane

A Great Fundraiser

AUTHOR: lilleyah26 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, November 15, 2009

I bought a VIP Card in my local area in front of my grocery store a few months ago. I bought it from a group who helped support the "Make a Wish" foundation. I paid $20 for the card and it is good for a year. I made my money back in savings within the first week! I think the card is great. Many of the stores/restaurants that I frequent accept the card and I have never once been questioned about it, nor do I get a rebuttal from the store saying they didn't authorize a discount with the VIP card. I am responding to Duane's posting because he seems more like a disgruntled non-hire than anything else. You buy the card, the fundraising kids are happy and I save many dollars! I am a happy customer!

#1 UPDATE Employee

Duane is confused...

AUTHOR: Mark In Austin - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, September 27, 2009

I am sure Duane meant well by posting this about the VIP card, but as an employee in Austin who started 4 weeks ago, I can assure you he is very confused.  We have already gotten over 100 locations to offer discounts and are quickly ramping up. There is not a scam involved at all.  The business model is to simply get a few hundred businesses on board and then to have non-profits sell the card.  The concept is ingenious and already working in 26 states. I am not sure if Duane didn't get hired or something so that he is somehow offended, but I have already been paid and am pumped about the company and the company's business model.  Keep your eyes pealed because not only is this company NOT a scam, you will soon (12 months?) begin to see this card everywhere!
