Thomas Bail called me and asked if I would sign for my sons bail,at the that minute I said I would to do this I must sign a contract agreeing to pay so much money in a certain amount of time.

They asked when I would be in Buffalo to sign the papers I agreed to the next day.In the mean time I thought about it and decided I could not do the payments and called them back.

To my surprise they had already posted his bail now they tell me I owe them $3,000.00 dollars I say I do not. This Rick starts calling and leaving very nasty messages with threats in them.

He sends bounty hunters out to my house to arrest my son which was a total farce because as he apeared in court and the judge said there was no reason for him to have been arrested in the first place and let him go.

The bounty hunters at no time produced a warrent and put myself and a friend threw 2 hours of terror.

I went to court with my son the next time and Rick was there & touched me on the shoulder and said you are next. The next day I got a non itemized bill for $7,110.00.I am scared What can I do? Help

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Now....the truth.

AUTHOR: Rick Briggs - (United States of America)

First, let me start out by saying that this little story is full of half truths and outright lies.  This client, Peggy, has bailed out her son or his friends with our company many times in the same manner this bail was written.  Peggy would put the fee on a credit card and we would mail her the paperwork, always getting it back right away.  Always a good client.  However, the event in question, Peggy, as always, again told us to go ahead and mail her the paperwork and gave us the go ahead to charge her card.  The bail bond was placed and the paperwork was mailed.  Peggy says she called the next day..not true.  I called Peggy after a week had passed and asked her to mail back the paperwork.  She said it was in the mail.  Of course, it never showed up, however, the payment plan we had agreed to was in place.  After two payments had been taken from her card, she called the credit card company and cancelled the card.  Having never sent back the paperwork, cancelling the card, and now not returning our calls at all, I asked the court to revoke the defendant's bail.  The same court that Peggy claims told her that her son never should have been arrested revoked her son's bail.

Peggy also forgets to mention that when the bounty hunters, and the local police, by the way, showed up at her door with a valid warrant, she hid her son in the trunk of her car in her garage.  The only reason her and her friend went "threw" 2 hours of terror, is because she repeatedly lied to the police about her son's whereabouts.

As the bail bond was for $30,000, the amount she owed started at $3,000.  However, when neither her nor her son would respond to calls regarding the amount owed, or to calls for him to turn himself in on the warrant, I was forced to hire bounty hunters.  Also, at the time of all this happening, we also had an additional $70,000 in bail previously placed on this defendant...with Peggy cosigning on all of them.  So, Peggy M, if you're going to go onto a public forum to rattle about being asked to pay for something you agreed to pay, at least tell somewhat of the truth.  We did you a favor at your request, and you screwed us.
