MY COMPLAINT: I paid $225.00 cash on Saturday evening, June 7, 2014, to Mr. Thompson to repair my Frigidaire refrigerator and it quit working after Mr. Thompson left and he was at my place for three(3) hours. I contacted Mr. Thompson Saturday evening after he left to notify him that the refrigerator was not working and he informed me that he would come back to my place on Sunday to fix the refrigerator. On Sunday, June 10, 2014, I tried calling Mr. Thompson several times but he would not answer my calls. My fiancé spoke with Mr. Thompson on Sunday morning and he informed her that he would call me to let me know that he would come back to my place on Sunday to fix the refrigerator. The refrigerator has not been repaired, nor has Mr. Thompson attempted to repair or contact me. Mr. Thompson’s website states that all repairs receive a “Free One Year Warranty” and I did not receive even a ONE DAY WARRANTY. This violates the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act” (“DTPA”) at the very least. There definitely has been a breach of the warranty of good and workmanlike performance and Mr. Thompson has misrepresented to me that he would repair my refrigerator. He should avoid legal action and either repair the refrigerator and/or refund my money in the amount of $225.00.
