I purchased a Groupon from Thorough clean llc. When I booked my appointment the gentelmen I spoke with was very short and had an attitude as if he did not want to schedule my coupon. After waiting 2 weeks to get my appointment when the gentelemn showed up who was the owner I might add was extremely rude and  told me I needed pet deodrizer and there would also be an upcharge to pretreat because I needed an upgraded pretreater. First off I dont have pets and never have secondly my carpets are in good shape. In the coupon it said pretreater was included and NO HIDDEN CHARGES there was also no ention of any of this on the phone. He got very rude with me and aggressive. I asked him to leave and called Groupon for a refund. Ive had plenty of other carpet cleaners come to my house none have tryed to sell me deep cleanings or upgraded chemicals infact ive been told there is no such thing and that is a bait and switch tactic.! Groupon refunded my money.!!!!

Groupons are a great way for a company to get exposure, but not always the best way to get a service. So many carpet cleaners were taught the wrong way by the "bait and switch" pop up businesses that its all they know and refuse to change. I should know  I used to be that way. Not anymore. I run a Groupon for my carpet cleaning company and use it to meet new people and introduce business. It's a form of advertising.

I believe that the owner of Thorough clean might have been a student of the bait and switch and with that, business is always stessfull which causes the attitude and lack of judgment when it comes to cleaning.

Deep scrub is a real term used by carpet cleaners. Its not just a bait and switch term. Most real carpet cleaners are starting to use the term Restoration instead because of the low end cleaners.

My advice would be not to go back and forth with carpet cleaners. Find 1 and continue with them. When you use many cleaners you start comparing what one company does with the other. You will always be disapointed. Find one great cleaner and work with them and you will always be happy.

Good luck in Va beach
