Complaint Review: Ticket Master
I called Ticket Master and they told me the concert was posponed and not canceled but the could not give me a date. I called the casino where the concert was going to be held, and they said it was canceled and was not posponed or rescheduled!
The radio station that was promoting the concert said on the radio if you bought tickets on line, you need to go to any Ticket Master for a refund to your account. I went to the ticket master and after waiting in line for 45 minutes I was again told the concert was not canceled. I told them I called the casino and that it was canceled. Once they realized that it was canceled and NOT rescheduled they asked me for my confimation number which I had in hand.
I gave them the number. Then they asked me for the credit card. I asked "Why do you need the credit card when you have a confirmation number I have the tickets and proof that they were purchased? We could not have received a Confirmation Number wothout you getting the credit card number. You have the credit card number!"
They told me they could not help with the refund unless I had my brothers credit card!I now asked for a supervisor because these employees were trying harder NOT to help me than they were trying to resolve the issue. I explained my brother had purchased the tickets and his account needed to be refunded.
I told them I personally would not be getting the money because the account would be refunded not me, and he would in turn give me the money. He agreed they did not need the actual credit card at this point. He then called ticket master and they told him the account would be refunded the total amount. We waited a month and nothing, no refund.
My brother then called Ticket Master (No 1-800 number, it was a long distance call!) and they told him the tickets had to be mailed in for proof of purchase! He was upset with all we have gone through and he asked the person for their name and the guy told him "Tom" but would not give his last name! He said he did not have he to give his name.
My brother then asked for his supervisor. They said he was busy and we would have to call back the next day! My brother refused and waited for this guy to get on the phone ( we are still on a long distance call!)The next person was totally unhelpful also. He was less helpful. They would not give their last names!
These ticket were puchased on line. They have the credit card account number and we have the confirmation number. Now after paying for a long distance call, they want the tickets mailed before thay refund the account.
After getting nowhere with these people we have mailed the tickets to Florida over a month ago and we still do not have a refund. These tickets were purchased the last week of August and we never got any of our money back! What a ripoff!!!!!!!!!!!
