Tiger Direct Dated Invoice the next day after order, MachSpeed refuses to pay $20.+$40. Rebates because of Invoice not dated correct, I have called and E-maied to Tiger Direct, No Response.

The Order Number (E9087862)was sent to me from Tiger With the correct date on it 6/11/2004, but the Invoice/shipping slip was dated 6/12/2004, that came with the Motherboard. This was a One Day only rebate 6/11/2004, for $40. The $20. was good until 6/30/2004.
Mach Speed Claimed No Invoice, but there was Invoice's, just the wrong date on it. I did send them copy of Order Number that had Correct Order Date, with Invoice.

I apologize for any inconvenience you are receiving. Please send your re-submit request "As Is" and I will make sure it is processed and paid. Please feel free to print this thread and send it as well, it might help clarify to our rebate deptartment that we are making an exception.

Also, please write Attn. Mike Mitchell on your form so that it will be brought to me and paid promptly.

I can not address your complaints on Tiger Direct and the invoice issue. But I can assure you that, in this case, we will make an exception and get you paid.

Fred, we really do appreciate your business and will continue to strive for complete customer satisfaction.

Mike I have been trying to get an invoice with the correct date (6/11/2004) from Tiger Direct ever since I received your Resubmit form on 9/24/2004, by E-mail attachment. (You gave me 30 days to Resubmit)
I have phoned, E-mailed and have been promised a correct invoice. As of 10/27/2004 I have not received an invoice. I have been notified by E-mail that invoice was being E-mailed. I was notified by E-mail that it would be attached to E-mail.
John Sabino from Tiger Sales called me and said he would try to see what he could do.
He gave me fax and phone number. I faxed him a copy of my Proof of Order and Purchase Date..
I then called him and he said he had sent Invoice to my E-mail address and had delivery receipt. (I did not receive it) I told him I had not Received it. He asked I send him an E-mail (which I did) and he would Reply with Invoice attached. As I have 3 E-mail addresses, I sent him all 3, also a USPS Address He could mail the invoice to. The last few times I called John, he is not at his desk. John finally replied to E-mail with the word test (return receipt requested) 10/20/04. I Replied to his reply with the words test What? He replied that he was unable to send Invoice E-mail, He needed physical mailing address. (This should have been on invoice?). I sent him the address by E-mail.
In your Rebuttal, you state that my Order Date was in Guidelines, but for some reason Tiger Direct did not invoice and ship until the next day, that is correct, but I did send in a copy of my order with correct date and other rebate items required, You made No exception. I have never and never will Defraud anyone.
You mention $40.00 Rebate, which was a one day promotion. What about the $20.00 rebate that was for same Motherboard, you have not paid the $20.00 rebate either.
I have the resubmittal filled out, I just can not get corrected invoice from Tiger
As for being treated unfairly, at this point I believe I have been treated unfair by Tiger Direct and Mach Speed.
Also I had to Return the First Mach Speed Motherboard shipped from Tiger Direct as it was Broken (Not in Shipment as shipping box and box that Motherboard was in were in good condition) It appeared to have been broken, before it was put in the Motherboard box. It cost a little more than Tiger Direct allowed for me to Return it UPS Ground.
I wonder, how many other people have been treated this way by Tiger Direct and Mach Speed ? How many are still customers?.

Mach Speed Technologies Rebate Policy

Dear Fred, (From Mach Speed)

I want to inform you that it is Mach Speed's Policy to pay 100% of all qualified rebates. We do understand that some companies have a "Pay the ones that complain" policy and I want to inform you that this is NOT our policy. In your particular case, your invoice date was the day AFTER the promotion ended. Obviously there is a need for an end date of a one day promotion.

After looking into your rebate I do see that your order date was within guidelines but for some reason it was not shipped (Invoiced) until the next day. I can reassure you that this was not intentional by Tiger Direct. On Sept 25th, you were sent a resubmit request, giving you the opportunity to resubmit and get your rebate. I am curious as to why you chose to post a report here (on the 27th) instead of follow this procedure.

We make exceptions every day to rebate issues and we do not feel it is worth the $40 to have an upset customer. To you, and anyone else that might be reading this, PLEASE contact us if you feel you are being treated unfairly. We are an American owned and operated business and do not wish to garner the reputation of some of our competitors.

In browsing this site, I would like to point out a few things for you the consumer to take into consideration. Not all companies are out there to defraud the recipient of the rebate:

1.) We receive many truly fraudulent rebate requests every month. People try to copy bar codes, make up addresses, and forge invoices. We are strict on the requirements for this reason.

2.) We require invoices AND packing slips because we need to see the purchase price as well as the ship date to ensure that the product was not "...combined with any other discount or promotion"

3.) We are human. Mistakes ARE made. For this reason we try to open the email line of communication to ensure our goal of paying ALL qualified rebates.

Fred, Please fill out your re-submittal for so we can get you taken care of.
