I too am waiting for my rebate thru TigerDirect and Onrebate. All my correspondence has been thru e-mail and as it appears never thru the same person. I've read almost all the complaints on this site and on C-Net and there's not one that they haven't also tried on me.

My favorite was the one in the last 24 hours. They said I needed to send the original bar code (sound familiar?). I told them I couldn't because they had it. If they would like to send it back I'd be glad to send it back to them.

Their answer: "As per the terms and conditions any materials submitted to Onrebate becomes the property of Onrebate. As such we are unable to return any submissions to the customer."

DUH?! How can they return or not return what they don't have according to them.

That was the best of the litter from "we are processing", to "we cannot process", to "we never received your request either on line or in the mail". My second favorite one was that they are sorry but they don't do a rebate on that product anymore. Since when? It was still on their site and I was sitting here holding the product and the rebate confirmation.

I also slightly annoyed, to put it mildly when I went to check on the status of my rebate and lo and behold I wasn't there anymore. In trying to e-mail to find out any status I was advised "our records show you have never purchased a product from TigerDirect."

I sincerely hope somebody can get to these people where it hurts. They give every other online business a black eye whether they deserve it or not just by association as an on line business.

I wonder if PayPal can do or would do anything about all this. Certainly its not a recommendation for them either to be doing business with a group like this.
