I had heard of all the rebate complaints on Tigerdirect.com, through their subsidiary OnRebate.com. But I had a gift certificate for them and didn't want to waste it, so figured I would test out their rebate policy. I purchased a "TRANSCEND 8GB JETFLASH V10 USB FLASH DRIVE" with a $10 rebate, and submitted it through their OnRebate.com web site. I even selected their "expedited" service where you give up %10 of the rebate to have it approved and sent out quickly. By using the "expedited" feature, the rebate was approved within 4 days, which I thought was great.

After a month passed without the rebate, I contacted their customer service via email to see what the holdup was. After 3 weeks they finally decided to respond to my email saying they would look into it.

Now it has been almost 2 months since it was approved, and still nothing. This is just one more case of the Tigerdirect / OnRebate rebate fraud that is happening in the state of Florida without any legal proceedings taking place. I know my $10 isn't very much, but multiply that by thousands and these slimeballs need to be prosecuted.

How to get your rebates from this company

People people people, you are ALL WAY too lenient on these low-lifes. You need to fight fire with fire. The Florida agencies responsible for putting this garbage out of business are PAID well by them not to do anything. You must ENSURE that it costs this scum MORE to do business as they are than to do business honestly.

If they owe you money, HOUND THEM AND HOUND THEM AGAIN until they pay. It's the only way to get paid by deadbeats. Fax them, e-mail them, call them morning noon and night. Get it through the thick heads of the employees that they work for the lowest form of life on the planet. Their fax number can be found at the Better Business Bureau website. FAX THEM. Still waiting on that promised rebate. These guys are pathetic. They even make promises in an open forum and fail to deliver.
