We purchased a television from TigerDirect. The TV arrived with minimal packaging and the box was damaged. Upon opening the box, we discovered that the screen on the TV was shattered. This of course is not surprising when one considers that there were only a few foam pieces in the box and the TV could move around.
We called TigerDirect to have the TV replaced. On a side note...be prepared to wait for hours on hold (yes literally hours). Also, their online "help" service is never available. After several phone calls and losing hours of our lives that we will never get back, TigerDirect agreed to come pick up the TV and pay for the shipping to have it returned. After the TV was returned we were informed that they did not have the TV in stock, even though it was listed as available online. They said we would receive a refund for the TV. An email was sent to us that informed us that the refund would be processed in 5-7 days.
It is now 25 days later and the money has not yet been returned!! As we sit here on hold with TigerDirect, yet again, one wonders where this money is? Yesterday our patience ran out after 2 hours on hold and we weren't able to talk to a person. Kind of interesting that TigerDirect would take our money, ship a faulty product, and then let the money sit in an account for longer than normal. Pretty smart on their part as OUR money collects more interest for them while we are out $500.
Our advice...don't waste your time with this dishonest and shady company, no matter how good the deal may seem.
