I've used TigerDirect for years. Generally, I've been happy with them, but recently I had an experience I can't get over. I received an item that did not work, so I returned it and posted a negative review of it. The review never showed up on their web site, but I see lots of other positive reviews (no negatives). So I thought it was eaten, and I tried to repost it. This time, the site said I could not write a review of this item because I already had written a review! So I called customer service, and they would not transfer me to anyone who dealt with publishing reviews. So today, I emailed the webmaster, and received this response:

WOW. So they admit they remove the positive reviews... to prevent... "abuse"? What a joke. Another dishonest company grubbing for your money at any cost. It's disheartening to see a company be so dismissive of such an unethical tactic.

So the next time you look at those pretty positive reviews at TigerDirect, just be aware there are most likely negative reviews that they never allowed to be published. Which raises another question: are even the positive reviews authentic? Can you believe anything they say when they are essentially lying in their review section? And I see it as a lie... a 5-star GPS isn't *really* a 5-star GPS when all the negative reviews have been deleted.

They lost me as a customer because of this.
