My 13 y/o daughter started receving inappropriate emails from somebody who called hemself "ursexydaddy", "liketospankit" "69TW69" and other aliases. I don't know how this person got my daughters email address in the first place. The emails were very disturbing, they were all very sexually graphic, twisted and sick. I found these emails and told this person that my daughter was 13 and she did not receive any more emails for a couple of weeks. Just recently she started receiving them again so I had a friend look into it. He was able to trace the email to a person whose name is Tim Walker. The only Tim Walker I can find that lives in the same geographic area of this IP address lives at 733 west satsop road in Montesano, WA. My daughter and I live in Yakima, WA. Not sure what is going on here but I hope it stops before I have to get the authorities involved.

First off you should have contacted the authorities, and, if legally obtained, given them the identity data your friend came up with. and if the data was not legally obtained you should have given the cops access to whatever they need on your computer to help trace the person themselves.
What you should not have done is posted someone's identity and address on a site like this when you don't know for certain that individual is the culprit. You opened yourself up to all kinds of charges from slander/libel to reckless endangerment, should this person get attacked due to your post.

The FIRST action you should take is to contact law enforcement-not your friend.
Law enforcement will successfully determine the location of the computer being used to make these emails.
Why are you hesitant to contact the authorities? I don't understand.
