I too am very unhappy with Timber Lodge.  I would like to relinquish my campground membership but unable to do so. Mr. Jerde considers those who want to terminate their contracts as "deadbeats" who are trying to get out of their bills as evidenced by his responses.  However, it seems Mr. Jerde has problems paying his:

Notice of Sale and Disposal of Property Notice is hereby given that the personal property listed below will be sold at public auction held on Dec. 31, 2009, at 7233 - 155th Street W., Apple Valley, MN 55124 at 11:00 am. The description of the goods and name of the person(s) whose personal property is to be sold is as follows:  Timber Lodge RV Resort, Jim Jerde: Electronics; Tools   (Source:  minnlocal.com  sun newspaper group public notices).

As with most services telephone, rent, housing, etc., contracts can be terminated with appropriate notices however, Mr. Jerde through Timber Lodge, will not release anyone from a contract in a fair and reasonable manner.

Interesting Ebay Ad by Jim and Camp Resorts

AUTHOR: Oak - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 28, 2010

This is an E-bay add published by Camp Resorts, Inc. on 4/28/2010. I find it interesting that Jim is charging annual dues in excess of the $39.00 he is advertising here.  If you are an older member of campresorts, you pay $99 annually until you die!He will let you "buy out" of your annual membership for just under $800.

This is the e-bay advertisement...copy and pasted:

Your bidding on a full campground membership to Timber Lodge RV Resort www.timberlodgerv.com. Winning bid will receive a full camping membership to Timber Lodge paying only the $50 transfer fee to have it put in your name(s). Annual dues to Timber Lodge are $39 and will be billed later. You can add either the Coast to Coast affiliation for the annual fee of $89.95 and/or RPI for their annual fee of $65. Example: if you win the auction for $29 and want to add Coast to Coast your total cost will be $168.95 ($29 bid amount, $50 transfer fee and $89.95 first years Coast to Coast dues). Membership may be canceled anytime without penalty. Once the auction is complete and payment is received you will be sent priority mail all the memberhips materials to include: 1) Home park and affiliation(s) Id cards (i.e. Coast to Coast and/or RPI) 2) The 2010 resort travel guide(s) with all the how to's, maps and driving directions to the resorts. 3) Home park certificate , applications and agreements. Timber Lodge has been an active membership park for nearly 15 years. Over this time members have discontinued their campground memberships and they are fully paid for. Timber Lodge is looking to reactivate this membership and begin receiving the annual dues income on these ($39).

The Jig Is Up, Dude!

AUTHOR: Oak - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 31, 2010

You sir, are a deceptive business man.  Let's get things straight.  If the storage was for you college age daughter, why was it under the name Timber Lodge, with you being the responsible party?  Your daughter needed to store tools?  Interesting!  Who are you deceiving here - could it be the IRS by claiming the storage fees of your "daughter's tools" as a business tax deduction?  You know you could not claim your daughter's storage fees as a deduction right?   It appears you put Timber Lodge on the contract to make it appear a business necessity.  Let's get something else straight buddy, your "corporate office" is a private home in a residential neighborhood. The State of Minnesota barred you and "Janese" from selling campground memberships until you registered with the State of Minnesota.  You have a "corporation" yet, apparently no corporate lawyer because the record shows you represented yourselves in court "pro per."  Public records will reveal if you have or have not complied with this court order.  I bet when I do a property search in Texas, I will find out that you are in fact the owner and operator of Timber Lodge, or a very close family member.  I'll be checking on your business license next.  I don't understand why you are not proud enough of your business to claim you are the CEO and/or CFO.  You lead people to believe through these posts that you are nothing more than an "employee" ..... one with a serious attitude problem!  You also make others believe you have a strong legal team and threaten to send your legal dogs on those who don't pay their $99 annual dues.  What your victims need to realize, is that your claims are nothing more than "small claims" actions and that if we all band together and decide to cancel our memberships and NOT pay you another dime, your filing fees alone will be more than the $99 annual dues you will try to collect from each member, and you will be spending alot of time in court defending each action and defending your deceptive practices.  It will cost you alot more in the long run than any individual member.  Bring it on, dude!  The jig is up!

Wow whats this dude smoking. Okay lets go below the belt now. The true character now comes out. It doesnt seem to be a matter of sidestepping an obligation anymore, rather "lets start throwing mud around". The storage shelter is one I rented for my daughter while she going to college. Had to step in and help her catch up. Not embarrased or ashamed about any part of it. Again if you want to provide a name, membership number and something to go on here we would gladly provide an appropriate, to the subject response. I have worked with the people of Timber Lodge for many years and can assure you they provide many ways to cancel a membership.

Jim
