First off it was my. Wife who got bad service I am writing on her behalf. We go to this shop because I have had no prev issues... But now my wife can't get a routine maintence trans flush even though we have a tired plus credit card he denied her service maybe because she had a coupon and was paying on credit so she just got our oil changed only had the car a year 99 ford escort with less than 100,000miles o,m a tech guy not a mech so if I read it's a reccommended service to keep ur car from dying. I think it,s helpful when we had a 30$ off coupon but nope he refused the service so when me and my wife and toddler son are on the side of the road next to our car I tried to get services hope he reads this and feels bad why get paid to do a job that u don't want to do step aside there are plenty of ppl who need work end rant.

Why was the service declined?

Was it declined because they wouldn't take the coupon? There is another reason any shop would decline doing this service, the reason being that if the trans fluid is so dark that it has a burnt smell to it, it is more risky to have the trans fluid changed. That is why I personally would decline doing it.
