I helped a friend who needed money because of a sick family member. So I went to Title Max in Charleston, S.C. Not knowing the ureal world of Ripp Off I was getting into.

The loan was for $1200. and pay back so far is over $4000. and climbing. This is the worst nightmare of my life. I lost my job because of the economy. So I have to scrape up $169.00 a month which is hard with no income. Every two weeks late they add a $75.00 late fee. And I get threating calls and letters placed ON MY FRONT DOOR!!

These scam Title Max companies need to be put out of business. Please write your State Officals and who ever can get these Riff Offs out of this Contry. They are worst than Maifia legall Loan Sharks and prey on people's cars that have no credit. Then fix it so hard to pay back so they can repo you car and sell it for large profit. They are not helping us or anyone but thier selfs steal Millions of dollars from poor people that would be better off with out them.

All of this was on the contract you signed. Why do you act so surprised NOW ??? Did you not read the contract BEFORE you signed it ??? Was it not explained to you ???? It appears that you are faced with two choices ( the SAME two choices as the day you signed ), -- Pay the loan or give them the car !! You signed the papers and took the money. Now live up to YOUR end of the bargain.

"I helped a friend who needed money because of a sick family member. So I went to Title Max in Charleston, S.C. Not knowing the ureal world of Ripp Off I was getting into." [2 Things: Why did you choose a loan company like Titlemax? These types of companies ALWAYS charge high interest, because they will approve even those with lower than average credit. Do you have below average credit? If so, it seems that this is the only type of lender where you could get approved, so essentially, they are helping you out, when you have no other option, in good faith.]

The loan was for $1200. and pay back so far is over $4000. and climbing. [This should not have been a surprise to you. You are given a contrat to sign upon applying for the loan. The interest rate and payment schedule is clearly laid out for you.] This is the worst nightmare of my life. I lost my job because of the economy. [I am sympathetic, but unfortunately this does not free you from obligation] So I have to scrape up $169.00 a month which is hard with no income. [see above] Every two weeks late they add a $75.00 late fee. And I get threating calls and letters placed ON MY FRONT DOOR!! [Not sure what the issue is here...you said "every two weeks late". Does this mean that you are 2 weeks late on every payment, or that they do this every two weeks? The latter would lead me to believe that you continue to be delinquent on the account. Not understanding where a rip off lies in receiving calls for payment, and late notices posted on your door]

These scam Title Max companies need to be put out of business. [Debatable. If this were to happen, you would probably have been able to get NO loan. (although you didnt say whether or not you tried to just go to a bank or other more legit lender)]
Please write your State Officals and who ever can get these Riff Offs out of this Contry. They are worst than Maifia legall Loan Sharks and prey on people's cars that have no credit. They are not helping us or anyone but thier selfs steal Millions of dollars from poor people that would be better off with out them." [This may be true...but why is it, this is a revelation you came to only when it came time to REPAY the loan, and not when you read the terms and accepted the check]
