Ttilemax has repeatedly call my job and references after I've been late on a payment. They have called my references starting at 5am in the morning, asking questions and threatening to arrest me. I repeatedly asked them to stop calling my job and references and discussing my account and business with them. I feel like they are not following the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION ACT.If there is anyone that can help me out on this situation, please contact me by email (ta******.(((REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Pay your bill

AUTHOR: Briana Riche - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 15, 2007

For one no one is going to arrest you for not paying your bill. Two titlemax does not even open till 9am so they are not going to be call references at 5am. Three if you want to avoid all this pay your bill on time as you agreed to do on your contract. You signed a legal paper to pay it on time and you are defaulting on it.
My advice is to pay it on time and they will not call you or your references. This will also prevent your car from being taken from you which will cost alot more money with the repo expenses, intrest and then must be paid off in full or they will sell it.

You won't get arrested

AUTHOR: Pj - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 08, 2007

I can promise you, no matter what, you are not going to be arrested. I worked for them for 3 years, and that is never any part of the conversation. I once had a guy come in and borrow $5,000 on a VOIDED title, and no matter how hard I tried, they wouldn't do anything to help me recover that money. It would cost them too much in lawyer fees and too much time.

NONE have ever been arrested because they didn't pay, no matter what they tell you.

The best thing you can do is record them telling you that. Then, take it to a lawyer. Guess what happens next? They'll pay you to go away.
