After several months I noticed a reoccuring charge of $8.99 on my credit card. Because the amount was rather small and I have a variety of things on my credit card it didn't immediately send off a red flag. It wasn't until I needed to cancel my credit card did I become suspicious and find out what was going on.

After contacting the phone number on the credit card I spoke with Sharday ID#3398. She informed me that I had signed and cashed a check, hence allowing TLG Shopper to charge me monthly on my credit card statement (my credit card was Capital One). At this time I told her to cancel my existing account and provide me with proof of enrollment. Because I am pretty skeptical already I can't believe I would cash a $3 check without reading the fine print.

She informed me that it would take 2-4 weeks to receive proof of enrollment. After several weeks of not hearing anything I contacted them again and spoke with Robin ID#85176. She did not have proof of my original request with Sharday, but she assured me she would take care of it and again proof of enrollment would take 2-4 weeks.

After another few weeks of not receiving my proof of enrollment I contacted them again and this time spoke with Supervisor Douglas Harvey ID#30339 on 6/30/05. After speaking with Mr. Harvey I was told that only a supervisor could request proof of enrollment and that it would take "4-6 weeks most likely sooner" to receive verification that I did sign the check authorizing TLG Shopper (aka Shoppers Advantage) to begin billing me. The reason for the length of time is because they store there information in another location and it takes 4-6 weeks to retrieve it (with technology today and the importance of customer service - do you think having to take 4-6 weeks to provide proof is good customer service?)

As of this writing it has been 8 weeks and no proof that I ever signed a check authorizing TLG Shopper (aka Shoppers Advantage) to bill my credit card. I am tired of the run around and more excuses so that is why I am writing this today.
