This is the latest in a series of scam sites - previous ones being elcidelectronics.com and eccostores.com, which have been reported elsewhere (http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r19519188-Apple-iPod-Video-5th-Generation-30GB-Media-Player-116 and http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=777575). The content of the site is identical each time, but the skin changes.

The prices are approximately half that anywhere else on the web. On top they 'offer' free shipping and the payment of any import duties or taxes. The physical addresses on the site don't exist in two cases (the US and Spanish address) and is a hotel in one (the Italian address). They have the same three pages of testimonials, as they always do, despite the domain only being registered on 12 March 2008.

From previous reports the site is designed to harvest credit card details and take money for orders that will never be fulfilled.

Scam is now operating out of blelectronics.com

AUTHOR: Butlins - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Saturday, June 14, 2008

The image of the new home page to avoid is at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=777575 - Hostway.com has been informed about this and vilmall.com, but has taken no action as yet to take them down. I'm based in the UK, but any US based complainants could use the toll free number at 1-866-467-8929. Maybe, if you have lost money or had your identity stolen, you could take action against them as they've been informed of the problem but have just sat on their hands and let people get robbed - that makes them culpable for any losses in my opinion.
