TOBI ripoff - charged for product cancelled and won't refund Hollywood California

My 85 mother ordered the Tobi Steamer on 9-4-08 for my birthday on the 16th. She had not received it by the 18th. She called and asked where it was. They told her it had been shipped. When I found out she ordered this for me I told her I did not want it. It's not something I would use.

The Tobi Steamer is $99. I called on 9-23 to cancel the order. The customer service gave me a cancellation number. On 9-26, they CHARGED my mothers debit card with a $197. charge!! $197 for something that is supposed to be $99 and that we had cancelled!!! I called 9-29 and reiterated that I wanted this order cancelled and gave them the cancellation number. Mark told me to fax him the charge on the bank statement. I did that on the 29th. I keep checking my mother's bank account and the charge is never refunded. I faxed again on 10-1 and reminded them to refund the $197. I called on Monday the 6th and asked them again to refund. They said they would.

It is now the 13th and there still is no refund. Beware of this company! My mother lives on a fixed income and she needs that $197 refunded to her now. I am tired of calling and faxing. They do not respond to our requests for a refund. This company has very bad business practices.

Please refund the $197.86 immediately.
