Tom A Wadding/ Collision Works -Con Artist of the Century- Mora, Minnesota

February 2012 I had a spin out in a snow storm, very minor damage to the front bumper of my 2006 Ford Expedition.  I have a $500 deductible, after discussing the extent of the damage with my trusted auto body repair man, I decided the damage wasn't much over the deductible, and was hardly noticeable, no dents, just small scratch and some of the inside padding of the bumper cracked, so I decided not to spend the $500 and just leave it.
My husband was playing on a mens hockey league and met Tom Wadding.  Wadding kept bugging my husband to let him fix my Expedition, that he could do it without us having to pay the deductible, my husband was hesitant, but Wadding was persistent, said he really needed the work, doing it without the deductible would help us both out.  Ed finally agreed to let Wadding do the work on my Expedition.  He brought the truck to Wadding the first week of June 2012.  Our insurance appraiser from American Family went to Wadding's leased space in Mora June 18, 2012 and gave Wadding a check for $598.53.  After a couple weeks went by, my husband got a hold of Wadding and asked what was going on with my truck, in the appraisal days to repair was listed as 2 days.  Wadding gave my husband some B.S. sob story about the land-lord of his rented space locking him out and he needed $350 to get in and get all of his things, supposedly including my truck.  My husband gave him $350.  By August, I still didn't have my truck back, my husband would text him, he would get no response.  Finally, I called Wadding, I told him this was absolutely ridiculous, he got the insurance money a month ago, what was taking so long, got another bs story about the part being back ordered.  Promised it would be done by end of week.  After many more ignored phone calls and texts, I finally got my truck back beginning of September. 
I went outside to look at my truck the next morning after Wadding had dropped it with my husband at hockey.  The bumper was replaced without the valence that goes above the bumper to hide the metal frame and radiator.  I called Wadding and asked if he was even certified in auto body, he said yes, I said "then how would you forget an entire piece of the front end?!"  First he tried to say he put the part in, I said "the H you did, there is a big hole where the part should be!"  Then he tried to say "oh, it wasn't there when I got the truck"  I said "Oh yes it was!  I have the picture of my truck from the appraiser, my truck looked better before you got your lazy paws on it, you are going to fix it right, we were never going to have it fixed in the first place, now you got almost the entire deductible out of us and my truck looks worse then before!"  He told my husband he would order the part after i got done screaming at him.  It is now November 2, I still have a big hole above my bumper, he has given my husband the run around about the "part"  he supposedly ordered, like he is out of town working, the part was back ordered, etc....  He also took $200 from my husband for a new tailgate for his Ford truck, also which we still haven't gotten.  Another friend of ours gave him $350 for a bumper that he still hasn't received.  Every time they text or call they get no response!  This guy's level of fraud should be charged with jail time, I really hope a local news channel will pick this up, this guy is a flat out con artist and thief!
