TomTom, Inc. No customer support for most any issue Internet

My first unit was  Go720. This unit is poorly constructed with power input connector only soldered to PC board. Any shock (physical) to connector results in the foil on the board being pulled loose and inevitably, inability to keep battery charged. There is no repair! They would not give me a schematic of the connections so I could fix it myself. So, unfortionatly I bought a 'reconditioned' GO730. I've taken steps to prevent damage to the connector on this unit. However, I cannot use the quarterly map update system "offered" by tomtom because they DO NOT support Windows Vista Ultimate!!?? And apparently, they have no plans to do so. Map service requires Tomtom Home version 2.6 or better. The only version that runs on Vista is 2.3.1.92. However, this does not privide the functionality necessary to use the map service.
Also, all of my complaints have gone unanswered. I call on the phone, they respond with telling me to go to the web site. I send complaint via the tomtom channels from the web site and get e-mail providing a link to FAQ's. (None of these help). Then I get an e-mail thanking me for the opportunity to solve my problem (which still exists). Then I notice that the problem has been upgraded to 'solved'.
Tomtom is a Sales Only company and have little regard for the consumer.
