We began a business transaction for a double blue eyed, black bi colored male Miniature Australian Shepherd puppy by the registered name of Tonka's Hez Eze On The Eyez who was purchased in November/December of 2012. We were contacted by Tonya Nance of Tonka's Miniature American Shepherds (previously known as Tonka's Aussies) on January 15, 2014 for a business transaction. She was interested in trading our male (Tonka's Hez Eze On The Eyez) for her breeding program and giving us a $600 credit towards a puppy in a future litter with the return of our male back when she was finished breeding him to her females. We had decided on a double blue eye blue merle female puppy by "Danger" (Tonka's Livin On The Edge) and out of "Dustie" (Tonka's Dirty Lil Cowgirl). We made additional payments on this puppy of $600 ($300 on September 3, 2014 and another $300 payment on September 17, 2014). On October 1, 2014, my husband and I were making a 6 hour drive to meet Tonya Nance in Amarillo, TX to pick up our blue merle female puppy. Five hours into our trip, Tonya Nance sent us a text message and told us to turn around because our puppy was "missing" and she suspected an owl took her that morning. She had yet to even leave her home in Elk City, Oklahoma (3 hours away from Amarillo). We had no option, and nothing to go off of and had to turn around. We have other obligations (dogs, horses, cats) to tend to, and continuing our drive would have been irresponsible to those we left at home, including our two young children who were with a baby sitter so we could make the trip.

We have contacted Tonya over a period of nearly 3 weeks about a refund of our $1,200 to which she was always said "Give me a week or so". As of October 21th, 2014, we have yet to receive a penny of our $1,200. She has since registered our male as a Miniature American Shepherd and then sold him outside of the country to Lazerta Aussies of Germany for what was probably a few thousand dollars. She also bred him to at least 5 females between herself and her co-owner and subsequently had 5 litters of puppies to sell. All the while, she cannot find the nerve to return $1,200 that is not rightfully hers. Not fulfilling her contract on Eze makes him stolen property per our attorney.
