I answered an ad sent to me by a lady who sounded like a qualified head-hunter for this Tony Woodyatt. He introduced himself in the email as the Managing Director for Hattersley Narrow Fabrics and Textiles Ltd.

He wrote the following:
We are searching for a financial payment contractor (Accounts Receivable) for our company who is willing to work for us from home and get paid weekly without leaving their present Job. Our clients shall be making payments to us for supplies in money orders/certified checks so you shall help in the processing of the payments to us.

He further wrote:
Subject to our satisfaction you will be paid 10% on any transaction you are involved in. Please if you are interested send the following..

And then he just asked that I send my name, etc.

The second email I received from him was the following:

Good Morning,

How are you doing? I received an update from one of my customers notifying me that payment will be made out in your name tommorowYou will receive the first payment via UPS on Wednesday 05-21-08. Eventually the first payment will arrive via UPS. tracking number to check the status of the package is 1z739v6x1597618051

I will want you to watch out for it and make sure there is someone at home to sign for it, and if you know you will not be around because you might have to work or have some other assignment to take care of kindly leave a note for the delivery man tagged to your front door with your name and signature so that they will leave the package for you till you come back, because I do not want you to miss the delivery of the payment.

The Payment is in the form of Money Orders, you are to fill your name in the " Pay to the order of " field before taking them to your bank as the sender may leave them unfilled in order not to make mistake spelling your name, they should be cashed ONLY in your Bank and no where else as this is the Safest Place you can get it Cashed. I will get back to you with the details to where my remaining funds will be transferred to after your 10% has been deducted.Your Percentage excludes Money Gram Transfer fee.

I will be awaiting your email in return that you received this email and also you will follow my instructions by acknowledging my Payment and have it cashed in your Bank once you receive it. Do get back to me with an acknowledgment of my mail. Thanks

Best Regards
Anthony Woodyatt

It was at this point that I became apprehensive and I wrote back enquiring if this was in fact a legal transaction. Mr. Woodyatt wrote me back that it was absolutely such and even went so far as to send an attachment to the email of an I.D. card of a United States Interpol agent affiliated with his company who oversaw all his transactions to make sure everything was done legally.

Mr. Woodyatt sent me several more emails after that while I was still looking into the veracity of his whole operation. I did not want to send him any money, in case it did in fact turn out to be less than a bonified deal.

The card looked fake to me (a cut up and paste job) so I contacted my local FBI and they in turn had me call Interpol in Washington, D.C. They in turn informed that the I.D was absolutely false and to not send any money to this man.

They suggested that I not receive anymore emails from this man and that they would consider looking into the scam as an Organization. So I wrote one more email to Tony Woodyatt informing him of what Interpol had told me and that I would no longer do business with him until I found out whether the Money Orders were real or not.

I just found out on May 29th that two of the MO's were counterfeit and there is still one more that is a possibility. I'm just waiting for that ball to drop.
