A pop-up appeared on my computer asking me to take an I.Q. test. There was no mention of payment for this. Next thing I know I receive a text message telling me if I want to unsubscribe to text stop. I never knew I was subscribing in the first place. I called the number given in the text message. There was only a recording, no way to talk to a person and file a complaint.

I was scammed on this too

AUTHOR: Lisferr - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 10, 2009

About a month ago, I clicked on the popup ad to see what my IQ was. I took the silly little test and didn't think anything of it. Until I went to use my prepaid cell phone the next day and found I didn't have any time on it left. I was shocked because I had had $10.00 on it the day before. Now I had none. I called the provider and the lady there informed me there was a $9.95 fee for a text the day before. I about hit the ceiling. I told her that I did not get any text the day before except for one from and IQ test and that there was no place on that text that said it would cost money to find out if your stupid or not. She was very nice and refunded the $9.95 to my account. At least now I know that when they want to know your IQ, ignore them. They just want your money.
