I thought I was buying a Wright Tool socket set at a good price, since the product was labeled as Wright Tool on the webpage description.  What I received was a Cougar Pro socket set, which is an inferior subsidiary of Wright Tool.  Nowhere in the description do they advertise that this as a Cougar Pro socket set.

Upon contacting this company, they refused to acknowledge that their site is falsely advertising products, since Cougar Pro is made under the Wright Tool umbrella.  However, anyone with knowledge of these tools knows that Wright Tools are more far superior tools, and more expensive.  I confronted customer service with the fact that they are using "bait and switch" tactics, in which they denied.

They explained that Wright Tool has access to their site and is responsible for the listing.  i do not accept anyone pointing the finger at someone else for a listing on their site.  In rebuttle, I stated that the situation is that they do not know about the products they sell, and that they are just middlemen.  Customer service explained  that this is the way it works, that they had nothing to do with the listing Wright Tool put on their site, and would ultimately blame me for not ordering the correct product by no honing up to their mistake.

Since the the mistake was due to ToolUp.com's false advertising, I demanded not only a product return, but that they also pay for the return shipping.  They refused to handle the return shipping.  Needless to say, Amazon.com takes care of return shipping, and I will take my business there.

The bottom line: When a consumer orders a product that is described as "Wright Tool", has a receipt that says "Wright Tool", he/she shoud get a tool that says "Wright Tool" it and the box it came in.  These say Cougar Pro, and we all know that that is not what I ordered.  Simply saying "we apologize" and  "i understand" is not enough.  These tactics wheter direct or indirect, along with improper product listings are poor business practices.  The consumer should not have to take a hit on the shipping return if they were mislead.  Toolup needs to ManUp, and have better control over their product listings.
