Top O Line Farms Holly Singleton Haflinger Buyers Beware Redding, California

Last year, I was looking for a Haflinger horse. I told Holly my past drama, past horse purchases that were misrepresented etc. I was very fearful of buying again. I consulted my trainer that told me to go in person, ride different horses, and not to make a quick decision. I was 3 hour drive away. Holly had the horses all available easily to view. We spent the better part of the afternoon testing the horses and talking. We purchased one after my 2 daughters and I rode him. Holly recommened that we do a pre- purchase vet exam. The horse that we were buying did have an unknown injury. The vet recommended we wait a month to see if it would correct. Holly was totally agreeable to that idea or put our deposit toward another horse. No board was asked of us during that time. A month later, he vet checked out as normal. Holly even delivered him to us with a reasonable deliver charge, freshy groomed, bathed, and clipped. Selling horses is hard as they are animals and you never know how sensible the person on the other end is as a buyer. Most new horses will test after a month with a new owner and Haflingers are notoriously clever and will test boundries with an inexperienced handler. Holly told me this horse had a great disposition and everyone is always impressed with how good he is even so young. That was a year ago. I had other breeder bad mouth her however these were people who also made promises to me that they had no intention of fulfilling. I would easily purchase another horse from Holly again without a question.

I bought my first haflinger mare from Holly Singleton in May of 2010.  At that time I also took a cute gelding home to try.  He turned out to just not be a good fit for our family as we only had one paddock and was just way too interested in our mare.  We tried out several more haflingers from Top of the Line Farm before finding our second perfect fit.

Holly was very patient with our family as we were new to the horse world and didn't know quite what we needed but with four special needs children we knew we needed safe horses.  She delivered.  We now have four haflingers and couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful way we've been treated by Ms. Singleton.  

Our children have taken lessons at her facility and have gone on many trail rides with her and her trainers.  Always enjoy our time with them!  I would and do highly recommend her to people looking for a haflinger and know several people that have purchased horses from her and have had positive experiences.

In this limited space it is not possible to give all legal details just to say that a court of law found Holly Singleton guilty of FRAUD. I have been personally contacted by six others now with the same issues ( by the way, two of these people are advertised as satisfied buyers on Top O line's website even after they sued! ). To this date not a penny of my purchase price has been refunded as the contract promised even after the horse was re-sold and more money was made off the back of this poor animal. Holly Singleton re-sold this horse without legal ownership and promised papers to the new owner that she did not have. The documents to ship him across state lines were forged. The new owner was repeatedly lied to about the papers, the training and disposition of the horse. One complaint seen does not represent the true story just as one compliment does not. This is a wonderful breed that can be abused and used for monetary gain just as any breed. Please check with the AHR to see which breeders are in good standing and do not trust a seller with a known bad reputation. I wish more people had been straight forward when I was looking to buy a Hafllinger and had warned me against Top o line.

I am a consumer! I have purchased a Haflinger from Topoline... I know several consumer's who have purchased horses from Holly.  What I can tell you, she is a GREAT horse trainer. Do not let 1 neg. report/lawsuit stop you from getting a Haflinger. They are an amazing breed.  Holly knows her horses well. She goes above and beyond. She has always been there to help me with follow-up on my horse.

Remember Horses are animals. More often than not, it's the OWNERS lack of knowledge/training that ends up being the problem with horses. Accidents can and will happen, no matter what the breed, training or experience of the rider. 

There is always a certain amount of risk in any hobby, recreational sport, horses are no exception.  Remember what happened to Christopher Reeve.... Very tragic and sad.

Watching Holly with the horses is Amazing. She is wonderful at what she is able to accomplish with horses. Nothing but positive experience from purchasing a Haflinger, taking it home and additional help from Holly when I have had questions.

I would buy another Haflinger from Topoline, I would recommend anyone serious about a Haflinger to visit the ranch and spend time watching. Seeing is BELIEVING!!
