Total Marine Discounters False web advertising and won't accept responsiblity Fort Lauderdale , Florida Internet also

 On Oct. 11, 2014 I ordered a TH- Marine Security system off of this business's web site at  Total Marine Discounters.      They had the security system listed for $39.96.  Theie description of the system was the same description you will find on any web site selling this same item.  It specifically listed the system + a remote in the package.  I paid via PayPal for the system and with shipping costs included paid them $50.94.  On Monday 10/13/14 I received a call from a Mr. Ed Martin, Sales Manager and he said they had made a mistake on the site and this purchase was only for the remote however the web site said system + remote.  He said he would only refund my money and wouldn't honor the advertised price as " I'm just a small business and I'd lose to much money."   He refused to make this good on the item even though it was his mistake to begin with, not mine!

They went in and made web corrections on their site on Monday 10/13/14 and changed the description and prices.  I told Mr. Martin I understand mistakes can happen however they made the mistake on their site, I didn't make any mistake and paid for the item as their pricing had originally indicated on their site.  I filed a complaint with the BBB also on this company. 

I've purschased many items over the last 10 years from many web sites and the seller had incorrect information on pricing.  EVERY single time the business sold me the item regardless as it was their mistake and I should not be penalized for their errors.  This company would not.  I get the feeling that any warrnaty issues or problems would be handled in the same manner.  If it doesn't benefit their Company- Total Marine Discounters-  then the customer will be left "holding the bag!"   I operate a boat restoration service and buy 1000's of $$$ in marine items each year. I won't be supporting their shady online business in the future.   My advice is you shouldn't either as their are many sites that honor their web pricing and descriptions when you go online to shop on their sites.
