They don't disclose existing conditions of used vehicle's and hide just under the as is laws of NJ!!!!
Beware. $1700.00 just to get the car passable for inspection. None of this was mentioned by the sales person!! This includes brakes front and rear, catalytic convertor fails admissions testing, bad shock absorbers, lug nuts stripped and need replacement. Not included in the estimate is a non working lift gate mechanism that the salesman lied and said the key fob was probably not working due to low battery. Out and out lie. My mechanic told me that the key fob was after market and a dealer would have to repair this. More $'s not mentioned here. I have had my mechanic for over 20 years and he is as honest as they come. He said we got ripped off big time!!
I was told by the salesman that they do not apologize for not disclosing hidden defects and offered no resolution to the problems.
When I confronted the used car sales manager, he said the car passed their safety inspection. Amazing lie, since in the first 200 miles the check engine light came on, the brakes needed to be replaced on all fours wheels, the two shock absorbers were leaking oil and the catalytic convertor failed.
NJ consumer affairs said that the "as is" label protects the dealer.
Morally they are lower than pond scum.

Ok we see your post about THEM yet we DO NOT see the post YOU do for YOURSELF!!! Where in this report do YOU take ANY responsibility for making the purchase?? Did YOU take this vehicle to a TRUSTED mechanic to inspect the vehicle BEFORE you purchased it? are YOU an ASE certified mechanic? If YOU did niether of these tasks then YOU are as at fault as YOU blame them to be. YOU seek to place ALL of the blame on THEM because YOU CANT ADMIT FAULT!!!! YOU didnt do YOUR PART as a consumer. Since you did nothing to protect yourself, YOU get to deal with it and THEY get a pass since ALL used vehicles are AS IS!!!!!
That is unless YOU have purchased an extended warranty that THEY offered you. YOU DID NOT get a list of defects that YOU needed repaired BEFORE you signed the paperwork. YOU get to not only deal with the issue but YOU also get to pay for it all. THEY are NOT responsible for YOUR lack of common sense. It is NOT immoral for them to sell YOU a used vehicle. YOU DIDNT DO YOUR PART!!!! Deal with it. YOU are just a scammer looking to get someone with deeper pockets then YOU to pay for the prblem YOU got yourself into. Typical mouthbreather. NEVER admit that YOU screwed up, always play the victim, and NEVER take responsibility for the action YOU cause. And when in doubt, YOU twist the truth to suit YOUR version. Like I said, TYPICAL!
