I recently had my 2007 Prius oil changed at your dealership on June 23, 2009 (Customer #: 416062 & INVOICE # 35246). I thought it was a routine oil change until I discovered a nail in my right front tire later that day. I believe it is no accident that there was a nail PLACED in my right front tire, in that the last time I went to have my Prius serviced at your dealership to have my oil changed, I discovered a nail in my tire that cost me $20.00 to remove.

Therefore it is my belief that it is Toyota of Glendale's business practice of sabotaging a customer's car when that customer refuse additional service, or parts outside of a routine oil change, in an effort to drum-up business.

Your business practice is repugnant, and that fact that you place your customers at risk to an exploding tire while driving at speed is beyond retarded and criminal. I am going to post this letter on multiple web sites to let other potential consumers know of your criminal/shade-tree business practice.

To be honest I was a little harsh and sarcastic to this prius owner. And if he got offended sorry it happens, and so do nails.


Charlene, I dont know who you are. I dont know these people my name is Joe. I have read you post and you do have some facts but you only have some of the pieces of the pulse. We have not had any new vehicles sludge. Yes the motors that tend to sludge had a settlement on 8 Years unlimited miles.


If it was not honored at the dealer shame on them. You most likely want an 80 year engine warranty.


Millions have not had any sludge. But if you do minimum maintence you can expect minimum life of your car. I know someone how wanted a free motor and did not change the oil for a year and 8 months. No sludge. Some not all oil is the same.  You know what we just did a new motor for a sludge 2000 car RX300 190K miles!!(Very good customer). I Change all my cars every 3k-5k It IS not going to hurt my car, going to long will.


However No technician would put a nail in a tire. They may even do the repair for free for this man If he was nice.


P.S. you are also a conspiracy type. Have you seen any black helicopters that say Toyota?

Simply 'Google' this for proof- RIP OFF REPORT PRIORITY TOYOTA SCION AUTOMAX, and go to the 'Update' entitled- 'Similar Post On The DODGE Page On This Site', and read the 4th paragraph. Look at the date of that 'Update'. It was posted on 8-26-2007, correct?

*FACT: The Dow Jones was around 14,000 in the summer of 2007 when that 'Update' was posted, and it closed at its all-time high of 14,164 on 10-9-2007.

*FACT: The stock market DID take that 'huge hit'.

*FACT: The 'big collapse' DID happen.

Now 'Google' this- RIP OFF REPORT GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES, and go to Betty's Rip Off Report about credit card interest rates going from 10.99% to 32.44%.

More Evidence of Potentially Criminal Actions by Toyota Dealerships! Toyota Sludge Victims cry, "DECEPTION and FRAUD!"

Silverfox and Steve, I see you made your way to this site to protect Toyota once again. You've both been defaming me for YEARS as you post to refute my Toyota owner facts. Silverfox is from Canada and Steve is from Florida. Both claimed there was no such thing as a Toyota engine oil sludge problem well before the CSP and lawsuit were publicly announced. I was accused of creating a HOAX single-handedly! Imagine that...little 'ole me making up this who sludge story! Meanwhile, Edmund's Town Hall banned me for gathering more facts while it allowed the "spin doctors" to continue to refute any evidence of a MAJOR TOYOTA ENGINE PROBLEM. Interestingly enough, over 6,000 postings resulted after I was banned. The cat was out of the bag, unfortunately for Toyota. Guess no one at TMC was happy I brought it up on public forums, were they?

Let's clear the owner maintenance issue up now. I've been speaking with Toyota customers for almost one DECADE now! This is how long Toyota has been unfarily blaming the Toyota vehicle owners for engine oil sludge since I have been following the matter. Toyota's mistreatment predates this, however. I was not the first to highlight the problem online. Steve Weiss was one of the earliest posters. He got frustrated eventually and moved on.

Toyota owners who have maintained their vehicles per the manufacturer's recommendation have still experienced Toyota sludge. Those who used synthetics have also had the problem. It is a completely false (no, deceptive!) statement to say that sludge will not or does not happen in these circumstances. TMC dealerships have been caught lying about this condition as well. Check out Parris Boyd's blogspot to see what else the dealerships are resorting to when they disagree with their "valued customers." Looks like some tempers have caused some Toyota employees to vandalize and steal in response to Toyota owners using their Freedom of Speech rights to let others know.

If you wish to see some history on this matter, I suggest viewing the Toyota Sludge video on youtube. Be sure to click on the links there and read the channel page as well.

Current Toyota models are showing the same signs of sludge that the original class action lawsuit members' vehicles did. Clearly, the problem of Toyota engine oil sludge has NOT been resolved. Toyota owners are upset, but Toyota continues to look the other way.

Check out the Toyota online petition entitled Toyota Owners Unite for Resolution. There are almost 3,000 signatures there now, which is about the total number of sludge victims that Toyota admitted to. Hmmmm...did they miraculously all find my petition? Or, is Toyota just blowing blue smoke at us in an effort to deceive the public? The Toyota owners think it is the latter. Check out the Toyotaoilgel dot com site for important information.

The tongue-lashing retribution experienced by those of us who care enough to speak out online about the matter is growing. I recently made some comments on the youtube Prius "harmony" videos. My comments were immediately REMOVED! ToyotaUSA is the one who put the videos up on youtube. Is this Bruce Ertmann, formerly the Toyota Manager of Customer-Generated Media? After a decade in this matter, I can accurately say that the internet information is being manipulated by some entities who wish to SPIN the Toyota engine oil sludge inaccuracies.

Two major public complaint forums were permanently disabled in the summer of 2004. Postings about Toyota engine oil sludge was increasing daily with mechanics, oil experts, engineers, Toyota owners, lawyers, etc. chiming in. The Complaint Station for Toyota moderators revealed HACKING on more than one occasion. Toyota was the #1 company, ahead of Wal-Mart, in complaint numbers on that site at the time of the hacking.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Guess someone didn't like the Toyota engine oil sludge matter resurfacing---this time with plenty of very angry Toyota owners who were denied coverage of repair costs under the CSP. Let's not forget that Toyota itself described the CSP as "unprecedented and generous." Really?!? Did they bother to ask the Toyota sludge victims about that? Some of these victims are crying, "Deception and Fraud!"

Stay-tuned to this saga as it is far from over! Follow "toyotasludge" on Twitter for updates. The Toyota vehicle owners have been forced to counter the powerful "Toyota protectors" who wish to defame and discredit them if they speak up too loudly. Rest assured, if there is a site where someone is vocalizing, these guys will be there. Check out the counsel dot net site for some vicious attacks on Toyota vehicle owners. Jeff Licquia's blog has evidence of someone impersonating me after first using vulgarities and profanity to attack me in a public forum! The IP address was tracked by the blog author to Canada and Sprint. This "Toyota Protector" used the same IP address and different pseudonyms in the attack.

Nothing new there as this has been happening for a DECADE now! Why, even Bruce Ertmann, Customer Service CEO at Toyota at the time, used a pseudonym on his former Toyota Camry Problems MSN site, which included a lot of Toyota engine oil sludge information and pictures. The site creator called him out about it. As you might guess, I've had to develop pretty thick skin over the years.

Toyota has failed to acknowledge the online petition despite using companies that monitor what is being said about it on the internet. Isn't this STRANGE?!? Bruce Ertmann's friend, Pete Blackshaw, implies that I have a "disproportionate influence on the internet" in his book (on page 125) entitled "Satisfied Customers Tell Three Friends, Angry Customers Tell 3,000." He fails to address the "Toyota Protector" postings which number in the tens of thousands.

We think Pete Blackshaw has it all wrong. Toyota owners who have been wronged won't just tell 3,000. They will tell tens of thousands or more on the internet! Hmmmmm, is this why those pesky "Toyota Protectors" are coming out with such vicious attack posts? Is INTIMIDATION really the only way that those close to Toyota are able to counter this Toyota owner engine oil sludge matter? If so, they will EXPOSED in short order.

What do WE, the Toyota owners, suggest to both TMC and the bullying "Toyota Protectors?" We say time to PROPERLY RESOLVE THIS MATTER BY CORRECTING THE ENGINE PROBLEM.

Didn't Toyota and its associates learn the grade school lesson about bullies? It isn't nice to treat its Toyota owners this way! How did you ever think you could get away with it?!?

Some times to settling is cheaper then to risk loose the case or sometimes fighting it. You tell me which would you want to pay 190 million or 10 million, or would you say we messed up here is 190 million?

Please tell me what your point is. Are you saying Toyota wants to sexually abuse all females? If you think this, I don't know what to say. A black family owns our dealer so what is you point about the loans? Their is more to the Toyota motors financial than Toyota present telling their leasing to have high Interest rates to blacks and Hispanics(Which is not likely). They got cot using color in the factor of who is a higher risk(and this is wrong and brakes the law). Your car insurance uses your sex to determine your risk they also use you family history on you. How ever It is great that law breakers do get punished no mater how high they are someone will always demand and seek justice.

Toyota is not out to destroy America
If you believe Toyota is, than you must believe that the black family that own our dealer is white. In addition, you believe Toyota wants all Americans to die.

'Baltimore' is actually the last name of the main plaintiffs in that case against Toyota. Mr. & Mrs. Baltimore are an African American couple, just like Mr. & Mrs. Obama.

I wonder WHY Toyota settled that class-action lawsuit for over $10 MILLION if they believe that they didn't do anything wrong, and admitted no guilt?

It's similar to what happened in the 'SEXUAL HARASSMENT LAWSUIT' filed against Toyota a few years ago, right? Toyota settled that case too, didn't they?

I have read them all a few months ago. They were interesting I have Some Information for you. Sludge is caused buy various things Engine design (which is one) did contribute to the narrow range of the Issue. Another part is bulk oil is not the best oil it has less quality to it did the take it to Jiffy lube or 10 minute oil change? Their is also the people that get their oil change done every 8 months or longer. Oil has many enemies and they are not just miles.

The Airbags that was funny their is so much ignorance their it is not even funny. Do you know how the Airbag system works? How it decides which air bag to go off or wither to set on off. Their are so many factors to car accents most did not have the right delta V force. The sensors have to be hit just right on all cars. It is a safety and cost issue to detonate airbags.

However, Thanks for your concern for the American people but just remember their are more to one or two stories.

Unfortunate you are partly right the automotive industry is sexist. Most repair places won't hire a Woman for Law suet reasons. Women are considered less knowledgeable the men (many times it is the other way around). But this is not localized at one dealer or car maker but at almost every 200,000 (or more) dealers and repair places. I almost suit for man on man sexual harassment and hazardous work environment or just kill the man at my last work place.


And Which car maker is not slipping to the red?

You can 'Google' this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about 'Toyota Engine Problems', and read all of the complaints about Toyota Engines & 'Airbags', & the 'News' about a lawsuit filed by a quality auditor against a Toyota plant in California regarding DEFECT REPORTS that were being ALTERED!!!

I'm wondering if Tech1 knows that Toyota SETTLED a class action lawsuit regarding SLUDGING ENGINES for some Toyota owners?

I'm wondering if Tech1 knows that that you can 'Google' this- YOUTUBE TOYOTA SEQUOIA DEFECT, and watch the video of a Toyota Sequoia that flipped over on I-95?

I'm wondering if Tech1 'Googled' this- SEXUAL HARASSMENT TOYOTA, and read about the lawsuit that was SETTLED by Toyota?

It really dose sound as if they would put that nail their so they can pay the tech .5Hr $13-$20 an hour then the writer gets his % of sales commission. They are just raking in the money on you they dealer is making millions on this fraud.

NO, but really if any thing the tech did not say any thing because he did not want the liability of dismounting your tire for 6 dollars of pay or he just did not see it or you drive in a bad area for that (I have seen Audi's have a nail for several visits).
