Purchasing my vehicle from this company was an ordeal that lasted over a month before it was completed, & had so many red flags along the way, I must have been blind. When I first attempted to purchase my vehicle from Toyota of Hollywood, I realized that there was water leaking onto the floor from the A/C the night they said I could bring it home. Even though I lived in North Broward, 45 minutes to an hour north of their location, they would have me bring the vehicle in several times per week to get this issue resolved, only to tell me that the car would be under warranty after my purchase was completed, but when the paperwork was completed over a month later, they said my 30 day warranty had expired. When I threatened to drop the car off for good & demand my down payment back, they said they would make an EXCEPTION for me.

I also had to wait for almost 2 months for the purchase to be complete, & come in multiple times at the insistence of my sales rep or the loan officer, only to be told that the person I needed to see had left, or the paperwork they needed me to sign was not prepared. This put miles on the car & was just under 2 months. I was harassed because THEY held my check for 2 months WITHOUT my asking, & when I insisted they resolve the issue as I would not travel down again, they threatened me with repossessing a vehicle I was tempted to send back anyway.

With a witness to EVERYTHING that was given to me & everything that was placed in the glove box, I was never provided a temporary registration, & was offered the excuse, also witnessed, that I did not need it as the vehicle sale was not completed yet, then because new registration would be ready soon, & then that they would give me a new temp tag without it, because that WAS the equivalent to a temp registration. The last comment was told to me by phone, over speaker so all in vehicle could hear, the day after I made my first payment, and about 7 1/2 weeks after I first attempted to purchase the car, & while I was on my way to the dealership AGAIN to get a new temp tag. While waiting at a red light, I was rear-ended, & when I called the sales representative again & advised him I would like him to tell the police officer why I did not need a temp reg, he changed his story & said they would NEVER do such a thing! I received a ticket which would have cost me $5 if the car was registered to me at the time of the accident, but instead cost me $60. Not to mention, when the car was impounded, the original owner, who the car was STILL registered to, was called, & she wanted to come down to try to "get" the now totaled vehicle, as she said the dealership "stole" the car from her to begin with.

I felt the deal took way too long to close for it to actually be legit, & the fact that I was denied papers that were necessary, & then to be BLATENTLY LIED TO, really upset me. I called several times to speak with a manager, & one would never call me back. This has by far been the worst retail experience I have ever had. I would NEVER recommend Toyota of Hollywood to ANYONE!
