ToyRUs Accepted order and cancelled after 10 DAYS due to out of stock Internet

Save your money.

My Grandson was given a Paper Jamz guitar for his 10th birthday last month. This kid is mentally 30 years old but he acted like a rock star with it, like he does with guitar hero. It broke within an hour.

For those who dont know. Paper Jamz are expensive cardboard guitars.  They are claimed to be "A step up from air guitar"

This brings a whole new meaning to the kid is happier with the cardboard box than the toy in the box.

You order a toy and it is out of stock so the retailer canceled the order. Did Toys R Us keep your money? I'm just not seeing how you were ripped off.

You don't know the reason why it is "out of stock".  Pehaps they were accepting orders based on what they were expecting from a vendor, and that vendor didn't ship it.  Perhaps someone mis-counted the inventory.  Perhaps the items they did receive was damaged, and didn't notice it until they went to ship them, so they had less than expected. 

Would you rather have had them tell you that it was out of stock for X number of weeks until they get more in stock and keep your money? 

You still have at least a week and a half to find the item and even at the slowest shipping method have it arrive in plenty of time.  So not exactly sure how you have to "scramble" to find it.  Also, not knowing why you think you have to get these on-line.  I have seen them in several other stores in the last couple of days where you don't have to worry about any shipping issues.
