04/19/14, Saturday, I ordered an LG L39CB cell from the Tracfone website with free overnite shipping. It arrived Wednesday, 04/23/14.

On 04/24/14, Thursday, spent 1.5 hours trying to get phone activated, it never worked.  I also needed a new phone number due to texts to previous owner of my cell number from her bank reporting low checking account balance messages.  Very hard to understand heavily accented male with loud background noise in call center.  Unable to transfer 60 minutes from old Tracfone to new Tracfone.  Told to call back in 24 hours.

Called 04/25/14, Friday, and spent 1.45 hrs talking to David trying to get phone to work, couldn't.  Call lasted from 6:15 to 8:00 P.M.  Again, unable to transfer mintues from old cell to new cell.  Told to call back in 24 hours.

Called at 3 P.M. on 04/26/14 and spent 3-5:30 P.M. talking to Laneesha and phone still wouldn't work.  Marcia added 60 minutes from old cell to new cell but kept getting error message that there was insufficient moneyon the phone.  Could not make/receive calls, texts or messages.  Told to call back again in 24 hours.

On Sunday, 04/27/14, at 10 A.M. called Tracfone to add minutes as phone kept giving error message there was insufficient money to make calls, send/receive texts, or receive calls.  Spoke with Diana.  Tried activating phone all day with *22890 and *22891 activation codes, same error message.

Called again at 3 P.M. Sunday to try and get phone activated.  Spoke with Marcia and again unable to get phone working.  Told Marcia I wanted to return the phone as it was defective.  Was told I would have to pay for return shipping.  I said I would not pay to return a defective phone that never worked.  Asked to speak with her supervisor.

Tamika said basically the same thing and referred me to the invoice in the box I received the phone in.  I had kept everything I received when I unpacked the phone, including the little plastic bags for the charger, battery, and adapter.  The plastic bag that is used as packing material, and usually inflated, was flat when I opened the box.  There was no invoice.  Asked Tamika what the invoice looked like and she replied, "It's in a bag."

I said there wasn't any bag with an invoice in the box.  She again iterated that I could return the phone but I would have to pay shipping.  I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told the supervisor was not available.  I then told her I wanted a refund on the minutes I purchased that day as I did not have a phone to use them on.  She said they don't issue refunds for minutes purchased.  I said I would contact my credit card company and she said they would not refund me my money.
