I started out in 2009 with my first cell phone.I bought the Trac Phone for $10 and double minutes that the reception was iffy and voice calls where hard to hear.I learned how to do text messaging but it was difficult as there are 3 letters per key.I then bought a slider Net 10 Samsung 451 that was easier for texting the reception was like the Trac phone but I used mostly the text and voice command.I had called the help line before when switching phones to have the number transfered got a very poor english speaking person after 30 minutes on the help line mostly on hold I was told the number would be changed in 48 hours that did not happen. I called back the help line asked for a supervisor that spoke english and got the number transfered.

On Jan 1 my phone was deactivated with over 2 hours of minutes and 24 service days left. After the experience with the help line I went to the web site to technical support and got a reply the next day with a different help line number. This service was better at specking english told the my problem asked why had I been shut off with minutes and service days left Never got an answer but the phone was reactivated and the phone number had been changed.I went back to the different help line to ask for my old number back and was told it will take 48 hours for the change to happen. All my contacts where mailing me letters or emails asking about the phone.

After 48 hours Jan 4 the phone number had still not been changed.I called the help line again and was told the number change was being worked on.Both of these call lasted an hour or more with most of the time on hold. Finally I did get my old number back for voice calls but the number for the text messaging was the number I had been given when net10 deactivated my phone so now I had 2 numbers on the phone one for call and another one for text messages. Having 2 numbers any time I called or texted the price was doubled. So I used up what normally lasted for one month 750 minutes burned up in less than one week.At that time I went to a local cell phone provider and bought their phone and service plan which happens to have very good voice and less dropped calls.I have spent over 4 hours on the help line with net10 the phone was $85 plus the service plan at $25 a month. I would advise any one that is considering a Trac phone or Net10 not to buy into this service.
