Phone was purchased and stolen five days after. I prepaid three months and called Tracfone immediately.

I had phone turned off, and number cancelled. I was advised I would receive a replacement phone within five days. In five days received empty box and called. They said that was to return phone. I advised again how can I return a stolen phone since I called it in to cancel? I spent no less then 2.5 hours on the phone.

Advised by customer service, oh they said wrong thing, they transferred me to another person, that person had me waiting 39 minutes and barely spoke English as do MOST of their agents. Finally told higher up would handle the reimbursement of minutes, because I advised I would NEVER do business with them they told me to buy another phone and I would get minutes transferred, THEN was transferred to Corporate who advised me after 42 minutes they are no thee ones who would authorize minutes returned to CC. then put on hold with someone who could 69 minutes later, was told they will sell me a phone. So stolen phone replacement promise - ZERO, Minutes reimbursed - ZERO, and loss of time - Priceless. IF your going to have a phone company that is US owned, perhaps have people propertly trained in ENGLISH language, or be constistent in services offered And NOT backed.

Self entitled much??

 Firstly, YOUR issue is that YOU used a PREPAID service. ANY airtime on ANY prepaid service is NON REFUNDABLE!!!!!!! PERIOD!!!! Secondly, WHY would YOU expect them to give YOU a new phone?? If you did not have a lost phone insurance, which is ONLY offered by cellphone carriers that require you to sign a contract, then there is NOTHING that can be done for you. THEY are NOT going to take a loss due to either YOUR INCOMPETANCE or YOUR INABILITY to take care of YOUR personal property. Per usual the VERY UGLY creature of self entitlement has reared its head and YOU are riding on its back. At no point in ANY part of your purchase of said phone were you EVER given the impression that YOU are allowed to be negligent with YOUR personal property and THEY would reimburse you for the amount you spent. YOU HAVE NOT BEEN RIPPED OFF!!!! You ARE being screwed by the choices YOU made and THAT IS ALL ON YOU!!!! YOU CHOSE to go with the absolutely CHEAPEST phone service you could get. YOU CHOSE to be careless with YOUR phone. Those two choices ARE ON YOU!!!! Get over it and buy a new phone, THEY are NOT responsible for YOUR screw ups. And golly jeez what a BIGOT you are. I'm sure the family members of YOURS that were immigrants would be so terribly offended by YOUR remarks. If you aren't an American Indian then YOU have no place to talk about ANYONE else and their ability to speak English. There is a very good reason to outsource to other countries and YOU are a PRIME example of it. People in those other countries are HAPPY to work a cubicle job for whatever pay they can get where someone like YOU is going to demand MASSIVE amounts of money because YOU would have to deal with a customer EXACTLY as nasty as YOU have been. So maybe before you go blasting a INNOCENT company and INNOCENT workers YOU can address YOUR POOR choices. Oh and In case YOU are IGNORANT of the LAW, what YOU have done is defamation, yet another poor choice of yours and YOU have done it willingly and with malice with the sheer intent of trying to cause THEM damages for what YOU DID!!!!! The fault is all on you and if you cannot accept that, then maybe you should get off your non existent high horse and pay for your own actions!!!

OK, so did you get a warranty of some sort?

I was unaware that Tracphone offered warranties for stolen phones + minutes. Did you read the agreement when you purchased the phone? Is there a clause in the agreement that states if the phone is stolen at any point that they will give you a free phone and replacement minutes?  I am unaware of any company that does that. Did you at least file a police report of any sort?

I'm not sure why this report is on RIPOFFREPORT since it's not a ripoff that I can see and the only thing the company did wrong was tell you incorrect information the first time you called in. While it would be nice for them to replace the phone and minutes for you, I'm betting that the agreement says they are under zero obligation to do so.

It would be the same as buying a new vehicle and having it stolen a few days later. Is the car company or automotive dealership under any obligation to provide you with a new car + gas free of charge? Absolutely not. Your insurance company would probably help you out if you had insurance on the car. Did you have insurance on the phone?

I get a kick out of when today's younger generation feels self-entitled enough that it's never their fault for anything (Such as keeping a closer eye on their phones) and blames the issue on everyone else, demanding replacement of the product for their own mistakes. smh.
