This company Transam associates, Inc. specializing in home-based medical transcription work and training.
Initially i didn't know it was a scam, but discovered it only after i made the first initial down payment of $260 for the equipment package.

How they work is they promise you FREE training with a personal trainer with a GUARANTEED live work after you pass thru training, but what they really want is your money. They make you download this MT professional software which practically cannot be downloaded because it's an unauthorized site and one has to change all the security settings on the computer in order to access it.
Knowing that it is a fraud, I would by all means like to get my money back that i paid thru credit card. Please HELP! I'm in a state of shock of they did to me! I spoke with three different MT representatives thru live chat and to all the questions that i asked them, they responded with credible statements, making me believe that it's the truth.

Here is the situation: i paid money $260 by credit card, but did not install MT pro system as i discovered it was a fraud. If anyone can help me get my money back i would really appreciate it!

I have all the proof in my hands(copy of online live chat with MT recruiter).

I welcome anyone who can help make the truth stand out and open up the public to the fraud this company is making.

I have been an MT for 8 years - These are scams.

I myself have been on their site. You have to take a test which is ridiculous because most (nearly ALL) companies use a foot pedal when you take a transcription test. No other SUPPOSEDLY legit company asks you to write down the dictation on paper and post it in an email. I tried live chat with Transam to ask if I could use a foot pedal to test, and they gave the same robotic response (you do not have to use a foot pedal). I even said "I want to use a foot pedal and type! Not write down on paper!" and got the same response. "You do not have to use your foot pedal." This gives me the impression that either not-too-bright people run this company or it is offshore, and the Florida address is just a front, but I do not know this for certain.

To the scammed would be transcriptionists - There are legit people in this business. Don't give up! :)

To Transam - Go ahead and rebuke me - I have been a transcriptionist for 8 years, and I am fluent in 6 (SIX) specialities, and I also supervise. I am well-qualified to make these statements.

Download the software correctly

AUTHOR: Sara - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 19, 2008

I'm sorry to say that just becuase you don't know how to properly download something, doesn't make it a scam. With Transam Associates, you are a contract worker, not an employee. Contract workers in any field are required to have their own equipment, thus purchasing the software package. Returns are not accepted because its software. If you were to buy a program at a store, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc, and changed your mind after you opened it and installed it, they wouldn't allow a return either, because it is software. Filing rip off reports because you don't understand something just muddies the waters for those of us that really want reliable information and is the reason that complaints filed on the internet are so unreliable.

If you would have followed the instructions and completed the training course, you would see, it is a legit company that tries their hardest to train anyone that wants to learn. I did and I am glad I stuck with it, maybe you should have at least given it a try.
