After much research, I decided to try Transcendenet Innovations' www.youripad4free.com site. I had to get 10 referrals for a free 16GB Black Wifi iPad. I did so in the matter of about two months. Submitted my account for review, took a few days, but came back approved. Then I placed my order for my iPad. Took about a couple weeks, but it FINALLY showed "Shipped" on the Account page and I also got an email saying it shipped and that I should receive it in about 5-7 business days. The Account page shows it shipped on September 4, 2011.

Today is September 18, 2011. So far, that's 10 Business days. I just want my iPad. I have emailed SEVERAL times AND opened a support ticket, but no response to anything. So I decided to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint here. Please, Transendent Innovations, I would greatly appreciate it if you just got me my iPad. It was supposed to be for my fiance for our 5 year anniversary which is now well passed. If you can please get me the iPad, I will recommend you to friends and family. Otherwise I will not be able to. Thanks.

Determined by now it's a scam...

So that tracking number never came. They haven't responded to me anymore. I've written them off as a scam. Avoid like the plague. Guess you live and learn.

Waiting for Tracking Number...

AUTHOR: INCUBUSRATM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, October 08, 2011

They told me the iPad was shipped out again on Monday, and that they would have a tracking number for me by Tuesday evening. It's Saturday, and still they have not responded to me with a tracking number. I have grown extremely irritable over this. I feel scammed. Why so many others who post that it is legit? I and my friends and family have spent money on this thing. And I just end up looking like a fool... If I ever get the tracking number, or the iPad itself, I will update again...

Update: New Response

AUTHOR: INCUBUSRATM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 30, 2011

After confirming that the mailing address was correct, we asked if we could pay additional funds to receive a tracking number to prevent this occurrence again. We received this reply:

"Thank you for confirming that information! I have updated your order and will request that the order be shipped tomorrow.

It is not necessary to pay for tracking information. I have requested that tracking information be provided to you as soon as it is entered into our system for your order."

Another response.

AUTHOR: INCUBUSRATM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 27, 2011

"WE have obtained additional information on the shipment and found that it is in the process of being returned to us as being undeliverable.

This typically happens if one of the three situations occur, an invalid or incorrect address was provided, they were unable to deliver the package to someone at that address after 3 attempts, or that they needed additional information to locate the delivery location (this may can occur if the delivery address is to rural, multi-unit buildings without a specific unit # or new construction property).

We will be glad to re-send your iPad to you right away, but, before doing so, please confirm that the address on your order is valid and a location where delivery can be made.

Also, please include a valid phone number so that we can note it on the package so that should any additional instructions be needed, they are able to contact you directly to avoid any further delay.

As soon as we hear back from you, your item will be re-shipped."

I've responded to them and it's been a few days now. We'll see if I get it or not... I even offered to pay for the shipping or at least to pay for a tracking number. No response on that yet.

I'll be interested...

To know if you actually get a "free" iPad.   Please update your post if you do.

My skeptical side is thinking that you will get excuse after excuse, terminating eventually with "it must have been lost in the mail.  Too bad".   Free iPads generally fall in the "Too good to be true" category.

Finally Got a Response

AUTHOR: INCUBUSRATM - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 20, 2011

So they responded to the support ticket today:

"I am sorry to hear your order has not yet arrived. Please allow us to look into the details of the order and shipment further and we will contact you via this ticket with additional information."

I'm glad they responded but it is unfortunate that it took filing reports with the BBB and here to get them to do so. I will update if they respond again and also when I finally receive the iPad.
