Like many others, they ripped me off for a couple of months for $17.95 and it would have been more had I not checked my credit card statement!
They lead me to believe I was paying a $1 for a credit score and two months later I find out I supposedly signed up for their monitoring service. I was livid when I finally found out!
I went and checked in on this problem and it is on a big scale, they've been scamming people for a long time with this same scam, albeit legal!
I went through hell trying to figure out how to cancel and finally did by first logging into your "Credit Monitoring Account" it will take you to a page that shows six option links at the top including dashboard, credit score, credit report etc. Actually you can click on any one of these, it doesn't matter. After you click on one of them scroll down to the bottom of the page and under Resources, click "support" then "general FAQs" then "payment" and then click "how to cancel my membership" and it will guide you through the cancellation process! The only good thing they did was sent an immediate email confirming the cancellation! You can also call 1-855-681-3196 to cancel. Also, I'm sure there are other ways to get to this cancellation process, I think the key is clicking on "FAQs"

Called Transunion to confirm cancellation

Called Transunion and to my GREAT surprise I spoke to a customer service representative who kinda understood my anger (without saying so). I had no big problem when calling and getting through quickly!
Rep asked me if I'd like to take a survey when I was finished speaking to him, I stated okay. The survey was asking for a, I believe 1 to 9 satisfaction rating with 9 being the highest. Of course with the exception of the call in customer service rep I gave them all "ones!" Now I'm going to see if my current "809" credit rating that I currently have from them takes a dive!
As I have read somewhere, where one of the complainers stated his credit rating took a dip! Will keep you informed as my credit had been perfect ever since I've had a credit card, about 35 years. I have NEVER missed a payment in anything in my life!
