Paid travel insurance to Travelosity (administer by Berkeley Travel Insurance). A member of our partie got sick and could not travel. After a complicated claim with medical records and letters, they declined payment of the claim because he did not returned to the hospital after feeling sick again. Even if they paid, it would a maximun of $500 for the one affected passenger. His wife had to stay to take care of him, but her insured travel costs, were not be refunded neither.

Berkely assigned claim number 08TVY16753 to my original claim.

The total claimed due to trip cancellation was $1,980.32 the cost of hotel and airfare.

Insurance was bought with Travelocity, later we found out it was administered by Berkely.
