Travelocity I was DEFRAUDED and LIED TO by Travelocity!  Internet

 I was LIED TO AND DEFRAUDED by the customer service representative of Travelocity regarding a vacation package to Madrid
Spain. I told her that we would not fly without confirmed seats together which she said were not available. When I said I would try another flight, she suddenly "found" seats together on all 4 flight legs, even giving me seat numbers she said were confirmed. All of this was to get my credit card number. She then gave me an incorrect phone number for Delta at 10pm at night.By the time Delta answered that phone, it was 11:30pm and they told me that was the number for lost baggage! By then I was so exhausted, I went to sleep and called the correct number for delta the next morning. I found out I had been lied to and there were not even seats AVAILABLE on the flights that she had booked me!

I called immediately to cancel the entire package. It took me hours of run around with customer service representatives for 2 days and then for several weeks, only to get impersonal response from them that only cancelled the flights but not the hotel rooms. And these hotel rooms were booked as a PACKAGE! If I have no way to get to Madrid, how can I use the hotel rooms that they put in my package? They lied again and told me it was the hotel's decision not to refund. I called the hotel to find out that Travelocity already owns the block of rooms and they are in full control of cancellation.

They purposely defrauded me to get my credit card number and charge me for hotel rooms I cannot use. They have defrauded me out of $1562!!! I tried to battle this through my master card but Travelocity used their small print on a confirmation notice to say that I should have known this was non-refundable - even though they lied to get my credit card information!

This is FRAUD! This is completely a lie and situation of consumer fraud! If the package was a lie to begin with and they even admitted to refunding the flights with no seats, then it is obvious they have full intent to defraud me out of this money. My friend met one of their lawyers in a Dallas Restaurant a few weeks later and shared the story. The lawyer actually admitted (!) that Travelocity is out to defraud consumers and that they are so large and such a money-making machine, that consumers have no recourse. Please help me! $1562 is a lot of money for me! This is outrageous and unethical business practice!!!
